Expected 5 Stars Got 3.5 We have been hearing wonderful things about Lost Lion since it opened. We went with another couple to experience it. Lots of rules No reservations, no parties over six people, NO substitutions on anything even for foodallergies. That aside it is a modern industrial atmosphere with a small outdoor dining area which is nice. They have a bar thatseats 9 or so which is nice when you are waiting. The place was empty at 7:45 pm on a Wednesday evening. The menu is prettysimple with tacos and sandwiches. The specials are more entrée oriented and three of us had the Red Snapper special which wasvery good but not over the top Wow It was $28.00. The service from Heather was efficient and pleasant. The drinks weregood. We expected a warm, inviting atmosphere and staff with food we could rave about. What we got was a cool, collectedatmosphere with acceptable service and a bit better than average fare. If I could give them 3.5 stars I would. It was not a 4or 5 start experience which is what brought us in.
Recommend trying this great restaurant in downtown Westminster! Our party of 5 went for the first time on Tuesday night the place was very busy. Their menu is not extensive but offers some unique dishes flavor combinations. Our server Carla wasexcellent, very attentive friendly! We had the grilled cheese poppers (must try! , roasted mushroom flatbread (perfection! ,16 oz. Steak, fried cod fish tacos, coconut shrimp tacos, burgers, berry smash champagne mojito. We waited a little while forentrees but that was to be expected since they were busy. Everything was very good, presented well, drinks are freshly made, not overly sweet. The manager came by to check on us was very friendly welcoming also. The only downfall we experienced isthat due to the smaller size of the restaurant, the volume of noise from a full restaurant of patrons is very loud makes ithard to converse with your party without feeling like you have to yell or repeat yourself. They do offer a quieter, cute outdoorseating area but it was raining so that wasn't an option for us. Would definitely recommend visiting Lost Lion will personallyreturn to support local!
Always a fabulous time when we go here and we never go home hungry! The food is amazing! Well seasoned, fresh, always something new and fun on the menu. I think I've worked my way through all the possible tacos and I am pretty sure we have tried everydessert they've made, but the tiramisu is my favorite. The staff is super friendly and wants to make sure you have the bestdining experience! We are so lucky to have this little gem of a restaurant here in Westminster!
Visiting our son at college and tried out the Lost Lion. Glad we did! Food and service were outstanding. The prices were also a good value. A little hard to find behind the main street but worth the hunt! Our waiter Will was very knowledgeable aboutthe menu and wasn't afraid to provide recommendations. We had the Grilled Cheese Poppers. Great flavor with a little kick. Steak tacos had very fresh ingredients. We had the Papa Burger (on special) with jalapeno jam. Great warm spice to it withoutbeing overpowering. The arugula salad with grapes and feta was equally satisfying. Next time we'll be trying something off oftheir creative bar menu! Highly recommend checking this place out
Food is excellent, drink selections cover a lot of ground and the service is exceptional. Family-owned business that gives back to charity. Opens at 4pm and no reservations accepted. The bar is rarely full so there is a backup if the tables are full. Giveit a try and let me know what you think.
