One of the best meals I’ve ever had. I didn’t catch the name of the house-made chile sauce they brought out (along with a whole jug of Nước Mắm) but it was amazingly tasty and super spicy. Perfect food, everything was great. Even their vegetarian options were loaded with flavor. View all feedback.

I came to eat at this place yesterday. I ordered a hot coffee cup caffe sua nong , but they served me coffee in a foam cup and not hot at all. Also, at the end my check was 18 dollars and I gave the cashier 100 dollar bill and I told him: here 100 dollars , and he only gave me 2 dollars back. We have eaten Bánh cu?n and wanted to give Bánh Cu?n Tây H? #2 a try, since the last time we were almost a decade ago. Two weeks ago we came but couldn't find a parking lot. Last week they were closed on Thursday. So happy there was parking, and they were opened today. We ordered two #1 house special combo bánh cu?n and a bò viên bowl. The bánh cu?n presentation was brilliant, the portions look generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Too bad we could say the same thing for food. On the plate of the bánh cu?n there were many cucumbers, burned bean sprouts, very few Zilantro and no evidence for mint, fried onions or tofu. A large (roll? Bánh cu?n nhân th?t (Pork-Dampf-Reisrolle and a very small bánh cu?n tôm cháy (dried ground shrimp? above, cut into 3/4 small strips. A bánh c?ng (deep-fried mung bean cake , a small part of bánh tôm c? ng? (fried potato yam with shrimp). Six (or eight) thin slices of giò (pork steamed sausages, and there were no ch? l?a (pork fried sausage). We had expected to see small rolls of varieties of clear, pork and either fresh/feinely chopped or fried/ground shrimp. With more than half of the plate filled with cucumbers and bean sput, it is very misleading the name combination bánh cu?n here! Needless to say there were not many bánh cu?n to try we nibbled on the ONE role of bánh cu?n, and it has no distinctive taste, it was quite bland and average. Bánh c?ng tasted old, dried and not crispy as it should be. What can I say? Mixed with only a small shrimp in the yam, it should be called as sweet potatoes pommes to avoid the traditional Vietnamese type of cooking bánh tôm c? ng? and its famous sweet and savory taste. The meatball soup was a joke! Take 5 frozen meatballs, cut them into half, throw them in boiling water, fall into a pinch of salt, toss in a few cutting screws, and Cilantro, and cried this soup...lol. avoid this soup and save your money. We have seen many noodles with broth on the menu, so we wanted to taste the broth and order a meatball soup to see and taste as it would be prepared. Ah, and we were insulted!! We know how to cook, we were just lazy, the weather was a little chilled, and a good bowl of hot soup would your heart (or hands and feet for this matter... lol. A decade was a long time to get a famous bánh cu?n place, bánh cu?n Tây H? has not received the reputation she once deserves. We'll be back on November 15th. Just don't ask us what year!!
We had great experience here (2 times this week end). The Wonderful Noodle (mì hoành thánh) I Rate 5 stars. The bánh ?t tôm cháy I rate 4.9 stars. They're all so delicious. Nice customer service. We cannot help get back to taste other delicious dishes from this great restaurant. We'll be back for more. We will recommend this place to my relatives, friend and everyone we know.
We are visitors from the city. We ordered a vegetarian dish, the special of the house and banh cong. We were happy with the first two ducks. The quality of the food itself was good. There are two reasons I gave 3 stars. First: the menu had a mistake and the waitress could not understand English, although it was very nice. I tried to tell her that the menu says that banh cong comes with shrimps, but there were no shrimps. The other reason for the 3 stars was the fish sauce too sweet.
I and my children love Banh Cuon in this place. My boy ever said the best Banh Cuon. We'll be back soon.
Tried Bánh Cu?n Tây H? 2 after getting recommended by both the locals as well as a family friend who had tried it during their trip. Very delicious and quick service.
