This restaurant offers delicious food in a delightful atmosphere, all at reasonable prices. For our dinner experience, we found the service to be excellent. The cost per person was over $100, but the ample free parking available made our visit even more convenient. View all feedback.
What Farnoosh Jamshidi doesn't like about Q Sushi:
The worst service I have ever had in a restaurant! Tonight at the Christmas eve they just ruined my nigh! I cannot believe that they brought my food 30 minutes sooner than my husband order! And they totally forgot to bring my drink! Awful! Never com back again to this restaurant! View all feedback.
THE BEST SUSHI! The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional! From the moment we entered, Eve, Drew, and Reese greeted us warmly. They were incredibly charming and truly enhanced our evening! My top picks were the conejo crunch and the miso soup. And the desserts? Absolutely AMAZING!
I also tried a sushi roll, which was good but not outstanding; it had a bit too much seaweed for my personal preference. On a positive note, the taco sampler was delicious. One of the tacos was a bit too citrusy for my husband, but I really enjoyed it, especially the salmon taco. The service was excellent; my sushi came out quickly. I would have appreciated it if the dishes were served one at a time so I could savor the freshness, but that was probably my own fault for ordering everything at once. The restaurant's ambience was beautiful, although I found it to be a tad too modern and somewhat Americanized for my liking in a Japanese restaurant.
A few friends suggested this restaurant, and I was happily surprised to find out how close it is to my workplace! I had the yellowtail jalapeño carpaccio and the fire goddess, while my husband ordered the crispy rice and poke roll. Both dishes were incredibly delicious! We can't wait to return soon!
The first warning sign came at the hostess stand. Despite arriving on time for our reservation, we were informed that our table was ready but needed to be vacated in an hour and a half because another party was waiting. I couldn't believe it! Throughout my years of dining globally, I've never been told I had a time limit on my meal. If it hadn't been for my daughter's 13th birthday — she specifically wanted to try this place — I would have walked right out the door. Unfortunately, we decided to stay. Once seated, things only deteriorated. The food was terrible. Our salads were drenched in oil, and every sushi dish we ordered was smothered in thick, mayonnaise-like sauces — a clear indicator that the fish was not fresh. My excessively priced Chilean seabass had a pudding-like texture and was completely covered in mayo sauce. My wife ordered a hand roll that came with a plastic tube of extra oil sticking out of it, as if it needed even more grease. It resembled a tampon applicator, and we couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. Don't be deceived — there's nothing authentic about this place or its sushi. The service was lackluster at best. We weren't offered water, and the drinks we ordered never arrived. Our server had little personality and made no efforts to enhance our experience. We've experienced much better service at far more affordable restaurants. As for the ambiance, I can't understand why anyone would find Q Sushi impressive. The open kitchen was chaotic and felt more like a diner than the upscale setting portrayed on their website. Most patrons were dressed in casual attire suitable for a place like Applebee's, leaving us feeling overdressed. An adjacent table was left with dirty plates and a cleaning bottle, which added to the unsavory atmosphere. The only thing upscale about this restaurant is the price. To top it all off, after we paid our bill, the hostess approached us to remind us that our table was needed in 10 minutes. Trust me, we couldn't leave Q Sushi fast enough!
My family and I visited for happy hour, and we had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic, particularly the spicy salmon rolls and ahi tacos. Our server was both friendly and attentive. The only downside was that we were placed in an awkward corner booth, despite having made a reservation weeks in advance. Aside from that, everything was great!
