Carsonie's - Westerville
Carsonie's
Description
Carsonie's dining experience seems to vary greatly among patrons. While many rave about the delicious Stromboli—its flaky crust and fresh ingredients winning over long-time fans—others report significant service issues. Guests have experienced mix-ups with orders, cold food, and dissatisfaction with how management handled billing disputes. Some find the staff friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere ideal for family gatherings, while others felt neglected during busy times. Overall, Carsonie’s has its highlights, particularly with the Stromboli, but a consistent and enjoyable experience could benefit from improved service and order accuracy.

We were driving around looking for a place to have lunch, and we stumbled upon Carsonie's. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon and the waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. She recommended the Stromboli, which did not disappoint. We also tried the sweet heat wings and garlic Parmesan wings, both of which were delicious. The marinara sauce was fantastic. We decided to order the large Stromboli and split it between the two of us, along with the wings. We ended up taking some of the Stromboli home with us.
The service and dining experience were subpar, and I will not be returning. My father's birthday dinner with a party of 14 was not a surprise as we had made reservations in advance. The server did his best, but accidentally ordered the wrong meal for me, which was eventually corrected. However, I did not receive my food until everyone else had finished eating. When the bill came, we were charged for the full price of everything. When I asked politely if they could remove only my meal, the manager said they could only discount it by half, which amounted to just $6. I tipped the server well as it was not his fault, but I was left feeling disappointed and will not be returning. I doubt any of the others in our party will either.
We ordered a white pizza with extra spinach and cheese. Unfortunately, there was no extra spinach as Corey removed it from our order. We also ordered two Bacardi and Coke drinks which were charged an additional $2.00 each to be made larger. This seemed excessive to us as normally a larger size only costs an extra $1.00. To make matters worse, when our bill arrived, it had our order as well as someone else's order on our register card. In total, our bill came to $74.00 and Corey was not pleased with the mistake. He was compensated appropriately for the mix-up.
The cheese pizza and calzone were both overly salty, making it difficult to enjoy more than one slice of pizza. The fries, however, were decent. If the food weren't so salty, this could be a great spot.
