But rude, pushed off, abrupt... read more Of all the places in Weaterly RI, we chose thisnreataurant to have dinner in. Its a holiday weekend. Okay, They were busy I get it. But rude, pushed off, abruptly shut down during an order. Waited over an hour for a glass of wine and then when I asked again was told they were busy and dont have enough help, as ro explain why I dont have my wine yet instead of just getting the F 'ing wine. Other locals came in and got the Kings treatment so they were not that busy. I could go on but I wont. I will simply say this was my 8th and final time eating here. Do yourselves a favor and stay away. Avoid at all costs!

The decor and menu give off a no... read more Looking to take a trip back in time? Step into the Venice Restaurant and you'll feel like you've been transported to the 1980s. The decor and menu give off a nostalgic vibe, reminiscent of Italian restaurants from decades past. Despite missing some traditional touches like white tablecloths and a bread basket, the ambiance definitely feels like a blast from the past. Conveniently located near our hotel, we decided to give this place a try after a day at Block Island. With a three-star Yelp rating, we were a bit skeptical going in. Unfortunately, the food only lived up to two stars. The calamari was rubbery and lacked flavor, while the ravioli was cooked too al dente. The Bolognese sauce was decent, but nothing special. The house salad was fresh, and the blue cheese dressing was tasty. The bread was warm but not particularly memorable. On the bright side, our waitress, Sam, was fantastic - friendly, professional, and attentive. The service was top-notch throughout our meal. Would we come back? Probably not, unless we had no other choice or were just too tired to look elsewhere.

I hate to criticize a small business, but it is truly remarkable how a restaurant as awful as this one manages to stay open. I couldn't understand how a place so close to the beach could be so empty on the weekend, until I realized that the locals must know better. This restaurant is a trap for unsuspecting visitors. Our server seemed in a bad mood until she perked up at another table. Was it because my dad has an accent? Or because we just asked for basic things like water refills? Who knows. No one enjoyed the food and I spent the entire meal apologizing for choosing such a disappointment. It was one of those occasions where everyone couldn't wait to leave.
