Patrons praise the delightful selection of craft beers, notably the renowned Captain’s Daughter IPA, paired with delicious wood-fired pizza from a local vendor. While the brewery offers a family-friendly environment, some visitors suggest a more defined age policy. Parking can be tricky, requiring better signage for newcomers. Despite minor operational hiccups, the brewery remains a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, promising a memorable experience with friends, family, and pets.
This brewery in Westerly is a great spot for families and pet owners. They offer a variety of popular beers like Captain’s Daughter, but I would love to see more rotation and new options. I enjoyed trying one of their sours during my visit. The brewery is located in a cozy home with nice, laid-out rooms. They have games, a dart board, corn hole, and serve Vetrano’s pizza. The outdoor area is spacious, fenced in, and has plenty of seating options, including shaded areas. Kids have plenty of room to play while you enjoy your beer.
I highly recommend this wonderful local brewery with incredible beer. If you haven't tried the Captain's Daughter yet, you definitely should - it's one of the best IPAs I've ever tasted. The atmosphere is family and pet friendly, and you can enjoy some quality pizza in their spacious and comfortable outdoor seating area.
This establishment is known for producing some of the finest New England style beer, which can be enjoyed on tap at various restaurants throughout southern New England. The Captains Daughter is considered to be one of the top double IPAs of its kind in the region. The cozy, historic tap room and spacious outdoor patio give off more of a trendy restaurant vibe rather than a typical brewery. They offer a variety of beers as well as their own cocktails, and food is provided by a local coal-fired pizza company.
We enjoyed live music in the beer garden with a great pizza. We found it upsetting that young parents were drinking quite a lot while there with their babies. You might want to consider keeping your venue to ages 21+. A table of women next to us ate apizza that wasn't theirs. We thought they were clearly scammers as the pizza they ate looked nothing like the pizza theyordered. We asked about the distillery products inside and were told the rye and bourbon or whiskey was sold out, but foundbottles of both in their shop next door. Clearly processes and communication between staff can be improved. Getting a handle onyour clientele wouldn't hurt either.
This is a fantastic brewery with welcoming staff and a one-of-a-kind ambiance. The Captain's Daughter IPA is truly iconic!
