Cafe Routier - Westbrook

My group of six was excited to try this restaurant after being recommended it by a friend. We entered the bar and was immediately rushed to the dinning room by the manager. It was obvious they were trying to fill tables but we wanted to sit at the bar. After expressing our desire to take two of the high tops next to each other the manager reluctantly allowed us to enter the bar. The manager then returned to his seat at the bar and was staring at our table while we waited to be served. After while waiting to be served the manager then approached us and told us to sit properly at the table or we would have to be moved to the dining room. After asking why we would have to move we were given no answer as to why and was then asked to leave.

Fab. Although they did not in fact have Red Bull, sweet potato pie, or a bar made entirely of hookers, this place was beyond amazing. Went with the wife a few times and have only ever been mildly disappointed. Their more American dishes like meatloaf or steak are far superior to their fusion food like bulgogi. However, everything is pretty good. And, getting a couple apps, entrees, drinks, and desert doesn’t break the bank! Fab value, nice ham Beyoncé If you know what I mean.

Very nice meal with friends. Saw reviews and needed to try it. Small plates and appetizers were interesting and delicious. Lots of finger foods. Reasonable prices. Went for dinner with friends. When arrived the bar was bare and plenty of tables which is odd for a Friday night in the summerthe service was great but my meal was subpar tried the chicken Marsala which was ok I had the veal chop which was dry and fried tasted like fried bread crumbswith a tossed salad on top. The potatoes tasted like vinegar.very disappointing I used to like that place especially for a special occasion Food: 2
