The Baker's Bench - Westbrook
The Baker's Bench
Description
Perched in a neighborhood lot, this beloved hole-in-the-wall bakery charms with oversized croissants, cream horns, Danish pastries and hearty sandwiches like the Westbrook Club. Generous portions, reasonable prices and a tempting dessert case draw crowds—expect busy weekends and quick takeout. Many praise the exceptional baked goods and breads, though service can be inconsistent and sandwiches have an early cutoff. A nostalgic, cozy spot for breakfast and pastry lovers that rewards visits despite occasional customer-service hiccups.

They offer a great variety of pastries and other savory delights. The perfect pairing to your weekends mid morning pick-me-up. You cannot go wrong stopping in, there is something for everyone.
Great sandwiches and bread! The pecan and lemon bars are delightful. A very local feel inside. All this being said, I have a few qualms: They never answer their phones!!! Can't find a menu anywhere other than in store. (I will help you all out and posta photo of it here. Customer services is okay. No online presence. Don't get the cookies.
They're nice, fast, reasonably priced and delicious! Baked stuff and sandwiches are all fire, you can't go wrong. I've been frequenting this place for a few years now and I don't think I've every been disappointed except when they are out of something.I guess I'm not a huge fan of the plastic containers they use either. Check out this gem!
What a gem. Hole in the wall bakery with some amazing pastries and desserts. Everything is great, and the people are wonderful. Very inexpensive, too.
