Amato's - Westbrook

I had a delicious sandwich made with fresh ingredients, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They truly showed a genuine desire to make our experience enjoyable.

I ordered a large original Italian sub without olives and extra pickles, but I ended up with no olives, no pickles, and just a couple of small pieces of peppers on each side, along with a lot of tomatoes. Having previously worked at Amato's, I can tell you that such a small amount of pepper on a sandwich wouldn't be acceptable. Plus, I requested spicy oil, but that wasn't included either.

Great Italian sandwiches. The Italian sandwich spot is a true original in Maine. The positives: Amazing sandwiches with a wonderful variety at affordable prices. The downside: You can go for it. The bathroom situation: The ordering and pick-up lines are currently quite chaotic.

I love the sand that is probably my favorite in Maine, they have an amazing variety of chips, sodas and desserts. Like any restaurant they are a little underused (but they are setting), so the service can be slow.

This place has disappointed me again. They had to make my sand three times to make it right. The communication between the employees is at best terrible, and as far as the employees listen to the customers well, they had to make my sandwich 3 times, that should say everything. After reading all complaints, the owners should enter and do something about the bad administration of this place.
