After reading positive reviews, we decided to order takeout from this restaurant. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a mistake. We were hoping to satisfy a simple sushi craving, but were disappointed with our meal. I went with my partner today and oh my GOD, it was SO good, and that comes from half a Japanese person who grew up in Japan until I was 18. I tried the soup, Katsu Roll, Takoyaki and Oyakodon. The wrong soup was so rich, thick and brothy and reminded me of what my Japanese mother would do. The Katsu in the role was very crispy! The Takoyaki was also very good. My favorite was Oyakodon the sauce was so delicious and reminded me of the Oyakodon I ate in Japan with a little Korean swirl. The staff was so beautiful! HIGHLY recommends a hidden jewel in fact and I definitely come back!

Just my favorite sushi place in town. Your BC Roll is different from other places I was. Good fish/ice ratio, nice presentation, friendly staff, good prices. Very recommended.

Went to a pet shop in the small stripe mall next to YANAKI and note this sweet little sushi shop and decided to try it good decision as the place was nice, food good and service prompt and friendly. The best part of the menu is their Bento boxes I chose Bento A and it was perfect! Great karage (cribic but juicy, colorful paradise roll (which resembles California roll, yummy chicken teriyaki and 6 thick fresh sashimi plates and it was so much food, I was filled. My daughter ordered a spider and a Californian bun that were quite large (although not the great tasteless type of rezzies that believes the amount is everything that counts! and very tasty. My better half also ordered Bento A, but had the beef teriyaki. And to cover it all from free appetizers beautiful touch! Very pleasantly surprised by this small place where we have just believed, and will be again especially when we want to visit the pet supply shop next door.

BEST SUSHI IN VANCOUVER. We?ve been regular customers of Yanaki for about 6 years. We?ve tried countless sushi restaurants in Vancouver and Richmond, and nothing compares to Yanaki. The spicy chicken teriyaki is an absolute must it is beyond delicious. Their gyoza, sunny roll, and spicy tuna sashimi or house tuna are also favourites of ours. The service is always fantastic, and the staff are lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant.
