The Whitespot at Park Royal gets top ratings. I have been here a few times now and the service and food are consistently excellent. It’s rare that a place offers both excellent service, great tasting coffee and good breakfast selection. The sound level is also pleasant not too loud and soft acoustics so you can actually hear what your friends are saying. As an aside, I saw the staff polishing the cutlery! For a solid... What Hawaiisurfn doesn't like about White Spot:
We are regulars and always dined at White Spot Park Royal.. We were seated and they seem short handed. Most of the servers were seniors and were quite busy. We placed our order, and waited for over an hour! furthermore, the table that was seated after us received their food. After an hour we put down money for our drinks and walked out. Walked over to McDonalds next door and received our food in minutes. We were so d... View all feedback.
We used to love this place! Not sure if it’s a new cook or what but they suck. I usually get the broccoli and cheese but last time it was like plain mayo with some broccoli in it. Also we ordered fish and chips to go and they forgot the chips! Then the last straw was when we ordered fish and chips again and no coleslaw, no straws for milkshakes and my chicken Alfredo was just one whole breast on top of pasta. Not cut up! Like seriously?! Not impressed.
Went in for a late breakfast. Good but a bit pricey. Eggs were cooked to perfection over easy but the sausages were below par. Good service.
Service is slow as all over, but food was excellent! Worth the wait. I had the Farro Power Salad with Lemon-chargrilled fresh BC chicken breast for 20.98. Both the salad and the chicken were delicious. I had a glass of Merlot which I enjoyed. First time I've eaten out in months. Love it.
Had lunch with my family at this location a couple of weeks ago and was extremely disappointed with the service. Due to Covid, restaurants were closed for in-room dining and were only allowed to operate their patios, so of course, I expected that getting a table at any of the restaurants in the area would take longer than usual. In preparation for this, I went to add my name to the waitlist while the rest of the family shopped. I was advised by the hostess that because there were 5 people in my party, they only had 1 table on the patio that could accommodate us and the group occupying the table was just getting their food. She said we would be next, but it could take another 45mins to an hour for us to get seated. I was fully prepared to wait so I gave her my number so she could call me when the table was ready. After about 40 mins without a call, I made my way back to the restaurant to check if the table was free only to see a different couple sitting at the only table for 6 on the patio. I asked the hostess and she said it would be another few minutes not even acknowledging that they had given the table to someone else. We waited another 30 mins until the new couple cleared the table (by this point, my kids really wanted to leave, but our options were limited) And as we waited to finally get the signal from the hostess that we could go sit down, I see a waitress escorting a couple of guys to the large table. I was upset and asked the hostess what was happening and her answer was I 'm sorry, someone moved the waitlist and I did not see that you were next. When a smaller table is free, I will politely ask them to move I asked to speak to the manager, and her answer to my complaint that we had been waiting for over an hour and a half by this point was I 'm sorry, I will follow up She was not interested in making up for it in any way. We finally sat down about an hour and 45 mins after my initial arrival and there was no attempt made to at least offer a small appetizer while we waited for our food or anything. We never saw the hostess or the manager after the initial conversation. I 've been a long time White Spot customer but I can safely say that I will not be dining at this restaurant ever again (Definitely, not at this location)
I’ve been to this White Spot a handful of times, and unfortunately I never had a pleasant experience until this time. The service at this location can definitely be improved. One time we had to wait 45 minutes for our food (both burgers) and had to flag down our server to ask them where our food was. This time the service was also sub par. We had to flag down our server each time we wanted something, like asking for water and pop refills. Although there was only one server for 5 tables, so I do sympathize. The food I had in the last was quite standard, but this time I got the fish and chips, and I have to say it was REALLY GOOD! The batter on the outside was crispy and not greasy at all, meanwhile the fish was tender, moist and flakey on the inside. This can easily be one of the top 10 best fish and chips I’ve had. The fries were bottomless, but I think it can be improved. Mostly because the fries weren’t seasoned when they come out the fryer. So they were bland and lacking potato flavour. Overall I think the service can still use improvement, but I’ll definitely be back for the fish and chips, and maybe ask the cook to season my fries when I order.
