I had the Tom Yum bowl with fresh halibut, and it was amazing! I don't know who's behind it, but the flavor was definitely on point. 10/10 – even Gordon Ramsay would be impressed! View all feedback.
I was in the West Van area and decided to try Nell's Kitchen. It was the best bowl of food I've ever had—incredibly delicious and healthy. I loved every single dish, and the clam chowder was the best I've ever tasted! I just wish I didn't live so far from this place! Thank you, Nell, for your amazing bowls!
We visited this restaurant for the first time, and the food was absolutely delicious and fresh! I had the Tom Yum bowl with fresh halibut, while my friend opted for the Tuna Tataki bowl. The menu is straightforward—you can choose from a variety of seafood like salmon, halibut, sablefish, or prawns, and then pick either rice or quinoa as your base. For the bowl itself, there's a fantastic selection of tasty sauces, including options like Tuna Tataki Bowl, Taco Bowl, or Glory Bowl, making it a tough decision. They also serve seafood burgers and shrimp croissants. The wait was slightly longer than usual, but it was definitely worth it. Due to COVID, there is no indoor dining available, but enjoying your lunch by the ocean is a great alternative. They are located inside the Village Fish Oyster Market at 15th and Marine Drive in West Vancouver, and they're only open for lunch from 11 am to 3 pm. I can’t wait to go back and try the other bowls! It's truly a hidden gem in the neighborhood!
(Takeout only) I ordered the Salmon Glory for lunch, and it was delightful! The salmon was flavorful and came with a side of vegetables. The quality of the food is impressive for the price. Additionally, the customer service was excellent. There's also a nearby park with a beautiful view, making it a lovely spot to enjoy your meal!
Nell's kitchen is a hidden gem. It's as close to a literal analogy as possible as it is tucked by the window of a fresh fish store. It was the first location where fish burgers and sandwiches are not dry. Albeit, 16 dollars for a salmon burger, the price, from my experience as an avid food consumer, is justified. The freshness of the fish as well as how recently the food was prepped is reflected not only in the flavours, but the texture as well. Nell was polite, concise, and quick with her orders. She was manning the kitchen by herself but went through the short line of customers with ease. A must-visit location from anyone living in Greater Vancouver. I stopped by as I was in need of a lunch and was passing by, but it is a trek I am willing to make from Coquitlam.
I?m visiting for a month in Vancouver since last week and it?s my first seafood local meal. They are very kind and all meals I ordered were great. So delicious. I want to go this place again before I go back to my country.
