I recently had two meals back to back at the original Earls restaurant. I have many great memories from back in the day, I actually ate there the first year it opened. After a long hiatus, I was pleased to enjoy myself back at the old default place. My server Nicola was so attentive and interested that my experience was top notch! I hope to get back before the upcoming transition... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Earl's Restaurant:
Actually the food here is fine, but we had a hopeless male waiter that ruined the experience. He didn't understand simple requests. I am aware that you in Canada and USA cannot expect waiters as good as in Europe, because they are payed in a different way. View all feedback.

We were greeted welcomed and served with the highest caliber our server Jennifer was friendly helpful charming and courteous food was good and well presented ..the experience of hospitality was of a very high standard so much so that we came back the following evening on our final day in Canada. We were treated with the same high levels of curtesy and friendliness, was a different waitress Nicola who was very busy but treated everyone the same the young lady who served us the evening before saw we were back and came over to say hello and wished us a pleasant and safe trip home. How hospitality should be, would like to thank everyone for treating us like VIP's.
I have been to this restaurant twice in the last couple of months. The first time we were incredibly impressed by the service - although our server was in training at the time he worked very hard to make sure that we were well looked after. We were also impressed by the way the entire staff was involved, including management, to make sure we had what we needed and happy with everything. And the food was wonderful. Needless to say our first experience left a very positive impression.Following the first visit to this Earl's location we went to Pier 7 for a special occasion, and although the location and view was amazing the service was the worst we have ever experienced ANYWHERE! We did not receive our meal until 2 HOURS after we arrived and the staff made no efforts to explain or apologize until we pushed the issue. We will not be returning to Pier 7 anytime in the future. So needless to say, when it came time to choose a restaurant to celebrate Father's Day Hubby chose to go back to Earl's North Vancouver. It was a very busy night and the restaurant was packed, so the kitchen was backed up and it took over an hour to get our meals, BUT, this was explained early AND we were so impressed once again by the service and the work ethic of the TEAM - they are a well-oiled MACHINE!! Everyone contributes to taking care of the customers, managers are present taking orders and delivering food to make sure that everything is operating as efficiently as possible. I can't say enough how impressed I was with the work ethic of the staff, fast and efficient, despite the fact that the kitchen was backed up we felt that everyone was doing their best to take care of us under very pressured circumstances. We were particularly happy with our server who was professional, apologetic and informative about the delay - complete opposite of our experience at Pier 7. When it came time to pay the bill imagine my surprise when I read the name of our server to realize it was the same young fellow who had been in training on our first visit, and was in fact one of the reasons we had such a positive experience at that time and why we came back! Although I did not recognize him at first, I totally recognized his name on the bill, as I had fully intended on leaving a positive review for him the first time (but never got around to it). Not forgetting this time! His name is Conrad and I want to thank him and commend him on his worth ethic and for doing his very best for his customers, especially in light of the very negative experience at Pier 7 where we felt completely ignored by the staff.Keep up the good work Conrad!! And thanks to the rest of the team too - all were amazing.
They have a patio but it was not that warm so sat inside. If you have never been to Earl's it is what a restuarant chain should be. Great food that is consistent, amazing staff, and looks like a dressed up restaurant. I have been to more than a few of them and never had an issue. That night I went with my in-laws, wife and 10 month old son, it was awesome. Burgers, chicken fingers, fries, salads, and the beer was amazing. We were tired as we just flew in and drove to the north shore but it was exactly what we needed.
