From the outside, it doesn't pay a mine, even if the badge announces that it's the best fish and chips in the country! I don't know if it's true, but anyway they're great! small nice terrace with (small) sea view.a good time! View all feedback.

The worker hardly spoke English, took 25 minutes to get my food, fish was gum-like and the dough was still wet. Came near my ferry was missing, after 20 minutes I waited after a refund because the ferry started loading. The lady laughed when I asked for a refund and after the multiple question I never got a refund, only soggy disgusting fish and chips, not to mention it was 36$ for a piece of cod, deep fried pimples... Best halibut and prawns and also onion rings that come at a great price. Hereafter I'll come get takeaway from here next time waiting for ferries, rather than eating on board.
My husband is from Newfoundland so he is very very picky about his fried cod...we have this thing at home where we always buy Atlantic cod and Pacific salmon. On our way back into the city from Squamish we stopped into Horseshoe Bay and found this gem. I enjoyed Trolls growing up but it has changed ownership and no longer has super great fish and chips. I 've also been to Newfoundland and have learned to be very picky when it comes to cod. My hubby has tried a few places in Steveston for cod and was just 'blah ' about it. We tried this place and he raved about how great it was. The cod was so flaky and fresh, well priced and huge portions! Definitely Newfie-approved! All it needed was dressing and gravy! We will come back the next time we are in town!
The ultimate platter for two is a tower of deep fried goodness and a bowl of coleslaw. Halibut is very tasty and light batter lets you taste the fish. All this and great service.
What a surprise to get probably the best fish and chips I have had, I am a cook myself and I couldn’t eat all of the food that I got and it was amazing!!! Great place to eat !!
After returning from a short hiking trip, we were hungry and looking for something to eat around Horseshoe Bay. We settled at C Loves Fish and Chips. We hear their ads on the radio all the time but never tried it. They are famous for their all you can eat fish and chips. It was a Saturday early evening, around 5 pm so it was not yet dinner time for most people. The restaurant was not too busy so we got a table right away. It got busier after 5:50.
