We travelled as a family to Duck Duck Goose and felt welcomed and at home. The service was exemplary with delicious food and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Our table at the window looked over the garden with its rambling vines and pretty shrubs. The menu suited everyone even to the home made ice cream for dessert. Would recommend this restaurant as a great place for families as well as couples. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Duck Duck Goosei:
My husband and I recently went here for dinner, the food was average the portions were huge but flavour was lacking abit. The restaurant is BYO which we didn't know until we got there. The restaurant overlooks a nice vallley so u can look at the toodyay country side while eating that was lovely. I don't think I would eat there again it wasn't anything to write home about. What a gem this place is ...Fabulous peaceful setting, great service and yummy food. Previously there for a large function - well managed; also pop-in for coffee and now birthday lunch. I'll be back :)

Our second visit. New locals to Toodyay. Impressed to find a worthy eatery in a small country town. Have been for lunch recently couple of weeks ago and have just returned home from Friday dinner after work. Thrilled that we can eat fresh and flavoursome food in a nice setting day or night. Day time views are wonderful and evening candlelight and decor charming, relaxing and cosy. Love the music also! What can I say about the food...reminisce of home cooking, fresh produce that is full of flavour. You can tell its 'whole' food without the 'nasties' as the palette has a clean feel with lingering flavours. It is honest cooking and genuine welcoming hospitality. Thank you to the chef and front of house staff. We will see you Sunday when we bring my Mum and brother up for lunch to proudly show them 'our local'. Regards Sam & Frans
The restaurant with the unusual name is situated approx 6 Kms. from the town of Toodyay, east of Perth. The property also has accomodation. The single waiter was experienced and attentive, whilst being a younger man, and quite up to the task.We ordered an entree of deep fried camenbert which was perfectly cooked and presented. For main courses we had seafood, saddleback Schnapper. My wife had grilled , i had beer battered. Both meals were exquisitely presented and were exceptional well cooked . Neither of us have ever had such light beer batter before. It almost dissolved on the tongue. It was rather odd that there was no goose or duck on the menu, but I suspect they would appear seasonally. There was certainly quite a few of the birds in the pens and surrounding gardens.
We have eaten at this restaurant three times this year. Twice in the evening and once for lunch. The restaurant is lovely with sweeping views over the Avon Valley. On the 25th March we booked our 50th Wedding Anniversary lunch for 14 adults and 4 children. Although there was another large birthday party booked in that day the service was excellent and the restaurant not too crowded. The food was delicious, the wait staff efficient and friendly. Some of our friends and family did wonder why we chose the Duck Duck Goose for our special celebration over say, a Winery in the Swan Valley, but after they had been they were very impressed and certainly want to go again.Thursday nights the Duck Duck Goose have a special - Schnitzel evening and the meals were $25.00 (when we were there) The Schnitzels are soft and tender and there is a good choice of toppings and variations. Served with hand cut chips and salad Plus three scoops of whatever your choice from the Ice Creamery. Lime sorbet is our favourite but the others were just as tasty. T
