The Rose Crown - West Oxfordshire

On Saturday afternoon for lunch with the dog. the surrounding village is wonderfully charming. the pub is beautifully maintained simple, sensitive interventions that let the old stone building speak for itself. a place directly at the open fire was perfect on a damp day. the service was attentive and the menu and the beers/deals on the tap were on the place. the food was delicious as the decor executed, simple and without fuss. the mains were game and fish cake, and two crumbs for pudding. in the eternal hunting after the perfect pub this is a strong cotender. for a long time, we hope to come back.

Only had an excellent Sunday dinner on the rose and crown, very nice staff and the quality of the diner was excellent and really fresh seasonal vegetable beautiful building recommend a visit that they will not be disappointed

This pub restaurant in the Burford area is undoubtedly the best. The food is exceptional, and the manager owner's passion is contagious. They bring decades of experience from brand name restaurants in London. The menu is constantly changing, with some staple dishes like tempura prawns. The interior is very cozy and beautifully done without being overdone. It's a pleasure to dine here every time. Just take a look at my other reviews - I'm not easily impressed.

I am lucky enough to travel all over the world and can easily say that this is one of the best dining experiences I have had for a long time. From the minute you step inside you are made to feel welcome by Matt his team who provide melt away service and truly make you feel at home. Stunning plates of food are produced using painstakingly sourced ingredients. You will want to eat it all over again ... if you only you had the room! Beautiful outside in complete with roaring log fires this truly is a gem. Thank-you for making a birthday memorable. We will definitely be back!

There's no better place than this! We have come here for lunch two days in a row, that's how good it is. The cooking quality is exceptional, and the owner Matt is passionate about his pub, his beers, and the ingredients' quality. Visiting this charming little pub is truly a delight. The tempura prawns and sticky toffee pudding were amazing. Thank you, Matt and team. We will definitely be back soon.
