Popped in here for a light meal and was very impressed. Had the fish sharing platter, couple of pints and a nice bottle of very good burgundy and all was well with the world. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The King's Head:
Disappointed. First time we've ever had sliced bread from a packet served as a sharing board can't remember if it was actually called artisan Lunch not bad, but we are spoiled in this area so good service always helps. I asked for a glass of wine it was put down in front of my husband and not once we're asked if all was ok. Won't be returning. View all feedback.
I had a late afternoon lunch at the famous King's Arms (Fullers) and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The restaurant had bounced back quickly after lockdown, with an immediate and warm welcome and great attention to virus safety measures. The menu featured daily specials and the food was delicious. It was clear that there was something for everyone based on the diverse customer mix, demonstrating true hospitality. Overall, I was very impressed and would definitely give a big round of applause to King's Arms.
Popped in for supper lovely atmosphere quick service and good food. Good range of choices on menu. Certainly would go again
We called in here on a Monday afternoon for a few drinks whilst staying in the area. Most disappointing a regular stared most of the afternoon at the guests arriving making you feel a little awkward and dirty table even though the place was not busy.
Strange start to this booking. We popped in on a Friday to book for Saturday and was told quickly there was no space. But a quick check on their website showed loads of bookings available, and when we went on Saturday the restaurant was only a third to half full at any time. The food was generally alright though my rib eye steak was on the well done side of medium. But the service was without smile and intermittent.
I booked the restaurant for a birthday celebration and invited over fifty friends and family for lunch. Sam and her staff were most helpful and the meals were well presented and the helpings were generous. The lunch was enjoyed by all.
