On this homepage, you will find the complete menu of The Trigger Pond from BUCKNELL. Currently, there are 61 dishes and drinks available.

Nestled on the outskirts of Bicester, this charming pub/bistro beautifully combines a cozy atmosphere with high-quality dining options. However, experiences vary; while some rave about the attentive service and exquisite meals, others have faced rushed interactions and mediocre food considering the pricey menu. Guests appreciate the spacious garden and warm interior, perfect for both summer and winter visits. Standout dishes include the duck breast and innovative vegetarian options like halloumi fish and chips. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot for casual dining or special occasions, though patrons hope for consistency between service and food quality in the future.

What Jon Smith dislikes about The Trigger Pond:
The service at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The food was mediocre, and the staff seemed uninterested; they didn't check in to see if everything was okay and rushed us from the moment we walked in. We felt pressured to leave quickly, which made it difficult to relax. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially considering the high prices. We spent over £100 per person, and it certainly wasn't worth it. The... View all feedback.

In terms of cost, expect to spend around £20–30 per person. I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5, as well as the service, which was top-notch. The atmosphere was delightful, earning a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips and the Sticky Toffee Pudding – both were exceptional! Plus, there’s plenty of parking available, with a free parking lot nearby.

This is a charming pub/bistro with a unique village atmosphere. However, we found it a bit too chilly for comfort, and the prices for the food and drinks felt excessive considering the quality. Our ratings are as follows: Food: 3, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 2.

Very good Sunday Roasts. Drink selection is unexciting but it’s probably best in the area for pub food. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
