Contribute FeedbackThe Bay Tree restaurant offers a mix of experiences according to our customers. While some found the food and service to be top-notch, others were disappointed by the afternoon tea offerings and unwelcoming atmosphere. The ambiance was praised, with some clients enjoying the cozy, luxurious atmosphere. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential but could benefit from improvements in consistency and customer service.
The food was incredible in a beautiful setting! A fantastic menu and the food was absolutley outstanding. The staff are very professional, attentive and very friendly indeed.
Myself My wife chose the Bay tree restaurant to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We were not disappointed the restaurant decor and atmosphere was fabulous. The food was truly exception and the staff really made you feel spoilt. As a surprise they laid on a dessert, which was a really nice touch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
Only one bar staff member as it was a quiet evening eating in the bar area but he was excellent. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Highly recommend.
Staff were, ambience was, perfect! Staff could not have been more attentive. However our afternoon tea, (which was a gift), was very disappointing. Consisting of THREE finger sandwiches each, (note: NOT 6 slices of bread, but 4 slices cut into three thin parts each), and each quite soggy AND stuck to the napkin on the plate! Scones were small, and too hard. In adfition, we ordered the artichoke soup, and chips which I rate 10/10. Pity that the intended 'highlight ', (the afternoon tea), was such a letdown! I love the Bay Tree usually, and only live 15 minutes away. However on this occasion the afternoon tea was a disappointment, which is a great shame, as I had high hopes. To reiterate, your Staff are AMAZING, as is the venue. I would appreciate your feedback, as I am sure you take comments seriously, as they are a big indicator as to how you are treating your guests, and how they react to that treatment! Many thanks for your attention...and response in advance!
Booked for a Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday. Wondered why it was so empty. We were the only ones there. Soon realised it was because the food and service were horrendous! The cauliflower fritters were just huge undercooked lumps of cauliflower. The broccoli side dish was uncooked. The roast was inedible and the vegetables accompanying the roast were black. We still to this day cannot figure out what they were! We were going to order some dessert as we were still hungry after not being able to eat our mains but the waitress disappeared and we were left with dirty plates alone in the restaurant! I eventually left some money on the table to pay as we had been deserted! Needless to say, we went into town for some dessert and coffee. Overpriced and you can have a better meal by getting a Marks and Spencer ready meal!
