This coffee shop is cute! Very difficult for the first time to find where to park. There is also not a lot of parking spaces. The breakfast sandwich is very good. The coffee is good but very sweet. The staff was supper nice. This coffee shop also supports local artist in the area which is super fantastic. View all feedback.
What J R doesn't like about The Golden Roast Marble City At Cherokee Mills:
Review for a Latte:I came based on reviews. I pulled in and was expecting a great latte, as there’s a good vibe. I ordered a 12 Oz latte, but they only had 16 or 20 Oz lattes!I said they don’t need to fill the milk all the way up, but the coffee tasted burned, like there was only an ounce of milk, and that the milked was for a cappuccino. For $5 this was a really disappointing experience. Their matcha drinks are incredible. Other lattes are a bit too sweet for me, but I could drink their iced matcha lattes all day. The couches are also really comfy and it's a fun place to catch up with friends or have a date. Not my favorite space to work because for me the space is a little small and the acoustics are not great for focusing, but just to hang out and chat with friends, both indoor and outdoor seating options are great.
Went there a couple months ago. Sampled their coffee and it was so good that I bought a bag. Super nice baristas. Planning to stop by on my way in and out of Knoxville the next time I travel.
This review is specifically for the new location inside Cherokee Mills. I have no complaints about the location that was farther down Sutherland, nor the location on UT's campus: they both had a great atmosphere, great employees, and great coffee/food.My complaint is with the new location. I have visited the Cherokee Mills location twice (wanted to give them a second chance). Both times, employees were standoffish and not helpful. There is no menu posted (only a couple seasonal specials) so you have to pull it up from a QR code. There was nothing in store showing what food options or coffee syrup flavors they offered. When I asked, the employees seemed bothered to answer. On my first visit, I ordered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese To-Go. I was given one tiny pre-packaged cream cheese that was probably enough for 1/4 of a bagel. When I asked for extra, they said they didn't have any more. Also, the bagel was barely toasted, so by the time I got to work (a block away), it was cold and stale. The saving grace is that the coffee I ordered both times was fantastic. So they've got that going for them. I really just hope they work on their customer service at this location, because it was not up to par.
Very nice coffee shop. Came here on a Sunday morning to get a few cups of coffee and some beans to make at home. I'm not usually a coffee shop person, but the staff was very friendly with making recommendations. I ended up getting a hot chocolate with a shot of espresso and some flavoring. It was fantastic. They even gave my 2 year old daughter an empty cup of her own to play with. The atmosphere is very nice inside with light music playing and comfortable seating. Outdoor seating wasn't much of an option because it was very cold, but it looked like a nice outdoor space as well. They sell their own roasted coffee beans here as well to take home. They also have a selection of apparel and assorted other items you can purchase.
Ah! First time here, and asked for a recommendation. They recommended macadamia nut latte.....to die for! Very relaxing atmosphere, I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!Food: 5/5
