The Nice Guy - West Hollywood

This restaurant has absolutely no idea what customer service is. Valet left us waiting 5 minutes to take the car, and when we came in the Hostess (Roxy), we said?re ?1 min? late and the grace period has passed. With a terrible attitude. I asked for the manager (Kyle, the fats) and he was as useless and rude as Roxy. I've never seen anything like that before.

So I would describe my experience here. For a party of two. We received several memories of our reservation and asked that we confirm. The rules were clear when you are 15 minutes too late, you lose your place. We were on time and were greeted by the host at the entrance. We hired and asked who we joined, which makes it obvious that they did not know us, so we need to meet someone who was known to the institution. Something of a joke given that you can literally make a reservation for this place directly on their website. Many vacancies. We give our name, they see the booking (duh) and let us in. Let's go to the bar and drink while they finish our table. We order the spicy cocktail. Well tasted. At this point? was at the bar for 30 minutes. Always asked if we want more drinks. I'm good for drinks, but a table would be nice. I'm going to the host, asking me about our table and telling you they have a lot of big parties tonight so we have to wait a little longer. Okay, but we? re a table of 2, so I don't really understand why the larger tables are influencing this. If you ask me to respect a 15-minute window, you should return the favor. Wait while watching the bartender, make huge cocktails in tubs, pre-bottling them with a funnel. I'm picky, but I feel like you could do that behind the scenes? I feel like my drink is made to order and not like you? preparation for a party. Especially when you charge $25 a drink. Looks cheap, I'm sorry. Go back to the host, say that we can sit on this tiny high table, right at the door when we wish and are then asked to move to our actual table as soon as it is finished. No, I'm good. I'll wait. This whole time the service is not great at the bar. No questions, advice or suggestions, just a constant barrage of ?more drinks?. Our table is ready, about 45 minutes later than our booking time. Sit close to the bar, through the cutlery drawer and the constant flow of the staff, the cutlery and the cutlery and plate. Kind of annoying. I definitely don't get those? No pictures allowed in this place? What? I'll do it. By the way, that's a rule. You're not allowed to take pictures in the restaurant. I get it and respect it, apparently celebrities go here and want privacy. I agree. However, the table next to us have their phones out, flashes on and their taking videos. You're being asked to stop, aren't you? If you have a rule, enforce it. Our server appears, but that's quite a lot. No information about the dishes, no questions, no advice. Just what do we get?. We get the meatballs and the mozzarella for starters. Meatballs are good, but don't blow my head. The mozzarella and the bread with the tomato jam on it are good, but I will give them that. The restaurant itself was very dark inside to feel this exclusivity, and no photos allowed. I had a mix with my reservations, but the beautiful hostess could accommodate us. The mood was nice in there, very dark. But they sat next to a busy server station and it was hard to hear about my table. It was very distracting. The starters were good, especially the Arancini balls. The Rigatoni Pasta was too salty for my pleasure. The pizza was the size of a child's pizza, or it saw a $5 Little Ceasar's pizza. The bread pudding was delicious. Overall, the service was ok, but and an underwhelming experience.

We booked this restaurant weeks in advance before coming to LA for our honeymoon. When arriving the hostess said that there was no space inside so we had to sit outside which we would have been fine with except when we went outside there was only one other table, no atmosphere and different music to the inside. They simply put two tables in what felt like a shed. I was incredibly upset as I was really looking forward to this restaurant. It turns out they overbook you and some people just get pushed to sit outside in the shed. The nice guy needs to stop overbooking to make sure that people actually get sat in the restaurant.
