The restaurant is beautifully designed with stone features, and the food was excellent. It is a bit pricey, but the atmosphere and attentive staff make it worth it. We will definitely be returning! View all feedback.
What Karianne Powlowski doesn't like about Boxwood:
I called the restaurant to ask about making a reservation, and the woman named Jenny who answered was extremely rude. I simply inquired if there was an automatic gratuity for larger parties, and her response was, "Ma'am, do most restaurants do that?" to which I was taken aback. Then, in a somewhat condescending tone, she said, "Ma'am, for parties of 6 or more, an automatic gratuity is added. Is that all you need?" Wh... View all feedback.
Unfortunately, we had no great experience. My mother-in-law wanted to go to this restaurant on her birthday, for the beef Wellington. I have reservations for 3 for Sunday, 24. July 2022 through open table. I called the restaurant to make sure that it still serves Beef Wellington, as it does not have one of the menus I found online. They said they were serving the court. When we came to the restaurant, we sat in the bar, which was a little strange when we felt we were going to a nice restaurant... not eating in a bar. We asked about the restaurant seat and said it was closed for Kovid. The menu came and beef Wellington was not on the menu. We asked the server, she said she would ask the cook... she came back and told us that unfortunately they did not go on Friday (we went on Sunday). The mood was just not right... we decided we would take our business at night. They confirmed our parking space and the server said I'm sorry, but we know it's not their fault. Maybe a small note on the website say that the restaurant is closed, and dinner will only be helpful in the bar area. Even the hostess should have said that it is not always on the menu and call back 1-2 days before our reservations to ensure that it would have been nice on the menu... as those where their words, if I don't have my disappointment about the dish on the menu this night.
Love this place! Delicious, beautiful and very nice. The only suggestion is to prolonged breakfast time on weekends.
Boxwood is located at the lobby level of the hotel. We ate here 3/2/22 after attending a screening of ?Spencer? in the hotel?s screening room followed by Q&A with the LA Times and Kristen Stewart about her reaction to being nominated for best actress in upcoming Academy Awards. Staff were courteous. John was our waiter and kept our Prosecco glasses full. I had the scallops and my wife had the steak. Meal prices are about what you would expect in this economy in an upscale hotel and I didn?t find it to be outrageous but reasonable. Valet parking only and valets were courteous and well staffed for the event. Very pleased with the restaurant and would have dinner here again.
The food was amazing! We ahd the beef wellington. Drinks were also delicious. Our waitress Daria was so kind and attentive! One of the best staff ever! She definitely deserves a raise!
Highly recommended! Took my son here for his birthday as he had been banging on about eating Gordan Ramsey?s food after watching too much Hells Kitchen. The dishes are pricey but that?s to be expected for a restaurant. The potion is good as you can see from the photos and you will be full. The menu does change but you won?t be disappointed. The atmosphere was ambient and chill. Our server was French which added some authentication to it serving British/European dishes. The restaurant is inside of the hotel so be careful with your Uber if they don?t go into the hotel driveway. Best to stand on the main road to avoid your Uber trying to leave so quickly and charge you.
