What AJG1Headmaster doesn't like about The Oak Room:
Front of house fine. Fillet steak ordered medium rare arrived charcoal black both sides. Silly error to order venison out of season, it was rubbery and not eaten. Shame because we usually love the Oak Room have now to revise future booking. View all feedback. What gboyle7 likes about The Oak Room:

read moreNestled in a charming seaside hotel, this restaurant promises an elegant dining experience, though opinions vary widely. While some guests appreciate the old-world charm and attentive service, others lament overcooked dishes and a lackluster atmosphere, with quiet, empty spaces failing to deliver the expected vibrancy. Some items on the menu sparked dissatisfaction, with concerns over freshness and ingredient availability raised. However, several diners enjoyed the good value and flavorful options, particularly the well-cooked fish and lamb dishes. Ultimately, while the restaurant has potential, it faces challenges in consistency and execution, leaving a mix of impressions among visitors.
