Nestled along the busy A30, Hog Hedge offers a mixed experience for travelers. While some guests have left disappointed by bland breakfasts and a limited menu, others rave about the friendly service and quality food. With commendable facilities, including baby changing amenities and dog-friendly options, the café aims to cater to families and pets alike. Many appreciate its clean environment and convenient parking, while a booking system adds to its appeal. Overall, the Hog Hedge shows promise as a stopover for those journeying to Cornwall, though consistency remains a crucial element needing attention.

Visited for lunch travelling back for Cornwall, menu is not very exciting but the food was OK, I was very disappointed that they don't take cash, won't be going back.

Worst breakfast I've ever had. Scrambled egg had no taste at all, Beans were burnt, bacon like cardboard, sausage was OK ish and the potatoes had a really odd taste to them. Stupidly expensive didn't even include a hot drink. Just go to Gregs next time.

The food was terrible and ridiculously expensive. The restaurant was unwelcoming, and we felt ignored. The menu was very limited, with mostly microwaved and fried options. The sauce bottles were dirty and filled with old, congealed sauce. The service was poor, with our disabled son being told to get his own drink. The toilets were filthy. We won't be returning.

This restaurant is excellent and highly recommended. We arrived before 12, just in time for breakfast. The service was good and friendly, and the food was wonderful, fresh, and hot despite the busy crowd. We will definitely make it a point to stop here again on our way to Cornwall.
