If you didn't eat Mr. Chicken as I call it, you didn't eat preuvian food. Lomo Salgado is my favorite. The chicken is amazing. Many dishes to try, I would suggest trying them all. It gets pretty busy, I would suggest calling in your order and picking it up to go. It is a small location and not many seats. Besides, it's also the salsa they give you. Omg. View all feedback.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I drove 15 minutes in the rain to try Mr. Pollo for the first time. They gave me a wait time of 1 hour due to the amount of phone orders that they were receiving. The restaurant was damn near empty but me as a paying, in person customer on lunch hour was given the cold shoulder by the person in charge. They prioritized the phone orders couldn't accommodate one measly plate. Screw this place. They... View all feedback.
Always so delicious, are the Talarin Saltado and chaufa my favorite?

Best chicken with so much taste. Chimichuri and hot sauces are good on rice and beans. I'm going from LA to SGV to eat here.
One of my most popular Peruvian places. I've been here for years and her food is good from the start. It remains consistent and I bless it when I'm in town.
Update on 2/24/21 Always good to great, but never disappoints. Ordered the 1/2 chicken plate with 1/2 beans 1/2 rice and side salad. The food is always pretty good, but chicken a slightly on the dry side this time but not a major issue. The green sauce which is usually the highlight of the meal was a little off though. Grainier than I remember and not as spicy. Rice and beans were as good as ever and service spot on. ???? Great little Peruvian restaurant in West Covina. Everything here is amazing but the chicken, rice and green salsas are the stand outs for sure. On this trip we tried the Tallarin Verde with pollo and Lomo Salgado com bistec. Both were amazing and they gave us extra liquid gold, aka green salsa, to go which was awesome. Of course they are take out only these days, but do take orders I eat the phone so it made the trip easy and quick without having to stand around waiting for our food in the tiny shop.
