Gen Korean Bbq House - West Covina

Gen Korean BBQ is the best of all Korean BBQ places. It feels like a party with lighting and music and the positive moods. Never had a bad experience at one of their locations

It's our first time. I love eating my baby. Gen is a great place to enjoy the experience. The line is long... I find the food very good, but a bit frequent.... the place was very loud.... You have an hour and a half to eat what you can and hope that the food comes (in our case they were slow)... and to finish it, they let us in though they know that we are not an hour and half left. But in Fairness we started when with an hour and 15 minutes. We were to cheaper places with great food. Shall we go back? No.

Probably one of the worst BBQ sites I've ever been. The quality of meat has decreased dramatically. The best part of the meal was white rice. If you really want Korean barbecue, I would recommend going to Koreatown. 1/5 to eat and 5/5 to our server, Beto. He was great!!!

I just wanted to share the terrible service my family received from this place today. The first interaction was not even a friendly atmosphere to them. They weren't welcome. And if you will be in this line of work, you should have a friendly feeling for you. When they finally sat down, she went away from what they can't accept and what my family can't do. I understand that things change, but there is a level of professionalism that you must have. From what they told me, the waiter did his best to satisfy his experience. Then we go into cleanliness, and to be a well established chain, it should have been better. Dirty windows, wall and even tables. They were the first ones when they opened, so no excuses why it shouldn't have been clean. When they got their bill, not even a smile or thank you. We will never visit this place. Don't go. Take your business elsewhere. You don't want it. And for the cost.. It should be a 0

My son and his family invited me to join them in celebrating a special birthday. I have driven by the place alot. Never been there before. The wait is over 1 hr with your name on the list. The atmosphere is like clubbing with music blasting loud and the bar decor. The server we had was super nice and courteous. I couldn 't hear when he was repeating the 1st round of things we ordered. Since it is a Korean BBQ place, you cook your own food right in front of you. They limit you now to 1 1/2 hr to eat inside. I was told before the pandemic, it didn 't matter how long you were there eating. The food was great. It was difficult to hear him repeat your order or the things you wanted was not brought out to you even you asked a few times already. Better check your receipt re your order too. Otherwise, I enjoyed the food and the company I was with. I always say Good food and good company . I would recommend this place.
