WOW!!!! That’s all I can say about the crabs and spaghetti I had tonight at nunzio’s in collingswood. Growing up with an Italian grandmother in south philly this was a special occasion when she made a pot of crabs and spaghetti. I tried to replicate it but it was never as good. I can honestly say tonight brought back so many memories. The is not an easy dish to really nail but they did tonight. My complements to the... View all feedback.
What Sandy Brooks doesn't like about Nunzio By Chef Michael Delone In Coll:
Didn't honor our gift certificate even after Covid no one was eating out. Card had no expiration date. Don't trust businesses that take your money then makeup rules to benefit them. View all feedback.
Was loud but food exceptional. Tough to get in during valentines day.
Nunzio's came highly recommended, so we decided to take the 40 minute drive and enjoyed an early Valentine's dinner with wife and friends. The entire experience was terrific. Wait staff was very polite and prompt. We were all really impressed with the quality of the food. I personally had the beef carpaccio and Dover Sole. Both were outstanding. Both were outstanding. Yes, I said it twice. I tasted my wife's Gnocchi. Also outstanding. For desert our table shared the zeppole and salted caramel budino. Perfect end to a perfect dinner. Honestly, this is now on my favorite restaurant list.
Previous reviews had me wondering if we ate at the same place. Our waitress Tara was cold from the moment she greeted us, to the point where our whole table was uncomfortable interacting with her due to her blunt and unfriendly responses. In regards to the food, the mussels were either very frozen or old. The texture was off and they tasted VERY strong. As soon as the fork neared your face you could smell it. I could only stomach 4. They clearly were not cooked in the tomato sauce, which held no flavor other than tasting like spicey saltwater. I tried to salvage the dish by dipping my bread instead, but was left with a low tide after taste. I also saw another table send back their mussels nearly untouched. The pappardelle dish with a fried egg on top, was far too greasy from the egg and had a meager amount of regular ground meat with a couple mushrooms on top. Similar texture and overall taste to hamburger helper. The prices were a rip off considering the quality. I never leave reviews like this but this was a huge disappointment. Certainly NOT the 5 star place all these other reviews are saying it is!
The NY eve set menu was amazing with great atmosphere and tremendous service. Also Anthony patrolling the room was very attentive to your every need.
Delicious food, great service and very nice holiday atmosphere inside and around.
