What Caesar Dare doesn't like about Sea Fuel:
our three party was greeted on Tuesday evening by restaurant manager foti cordially and on our table plucked we started with prawn cutlets , calamari and freshly shoved coffin bay Oysters....The garnels and calamari were on the square and the oysters to die. the oysters, with chefs special Balsamico sauce came, which really hit the place. for net foti recommended grilled red imperial and ocean trout . these were acco... On the Anzac day with my family to lunch. wow, we all said there were the best fish and chips we had in our 12 years in Australia hard to say that after only the best f
We shared several entrees and a main fish dish that was a great opportunity to enjoy a wide range of fabulous seafood. it was all well cooked and presented. service was friendly and efficient. the seats were well spaced, so we felt pretty covid safe.
We were not going to review however after considering the disappointing service and lack of care or consideration when we approached staff about the bland overcooked food we were served and after being loyal customers since Sea Fuel opened we decided to write to update...our previous Rave reviews! We arrived yesterday for lunch the usual big smile and friendly greeting had gone with the awesome service that once was ...perhaps He is over at the new premises in Milton? We missed him and it would appear so does the establishment what a disappointing decline since our last visit!!! We used to have breakfast here and lots of lunches and since my last review it seems the service ,taste and quality has gone! We peeled the menu off the sticky table we ordered with payment and sat at our table for lunch. The Scallop skewers are no longer on the menu which was a shame.Watching a waitress walking around aimlessly with someone 's order not knowing which table while another waitress served a Mythos beer to a lady beside us then another waitress brought another Mythos beer opened to the same table by mistake .... communication fail. Our meals arrived... Bland Papaya salad well overcooked flavourless BBQ prawn skewers ,battered fish and calamari were also underwhelming. We had to ask for the Coffin Bay oysters we ordered which were actually little bistro oysters. We let the waitress know we couldn 't eat the prawns because they were so overcooked and tough the tails did not come off easily! The waitress laughed oh really that 's because they are cooked on skewers! No it was because they were overcooked like prawn jerky! I quietly took the uneaten prawns and the bland salad to the side counter explaining the food was not good Three staff basically said oh that 's a one off ,another said customers complain about anything..and one said I will sort it out for you and let them know she returned to our table asking if we would like a complimentary salad or a salad to take home. We politely declined and thought her token offering was a joke and undermining our complaint. The lady at the table next to us said Excuse me but I have to say that is really nice how you approached them to let them know because usually customers just don 't come back here Well for what it 's worth it 's an absolute shame.... it is with total disappointment we feel because we really believed in this place it was wonderful the first few years and we loved coming here .. not anymore after yesterday 's Worst service ,Care factor NIL for genuine feedback and for a lunch that was no where near $150.00 WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!
Reviews read well and promise much. Our experience was average for menu selections, presentation, taste and service. Bonus is gluten free options, including potato chips. No innovations.
Always reliable and across the board excellent food in a fantastic spot. Fresh fish and delicious calamari, is of a much higher standard and quality than suburb fish and chip shops.
