Contribute FeedbackWest Baden offers a beautiful setting with lovely music, however, the Sunday brunch buffet left much to be desired for some guests, with runny and cold eggs, greasy bacon, and subpar oysters. The service was hit or miss, with some feeling ignored by their waitress. However, desserts were a highlight, as well as the history of the hotel shared by a charming pastry chef. Overall, opinions were mixed, with some praising the food and service, while others felt the experience did not match the high price tag. The hotel staff as a whole received much praise for their friendliness and knowledge, making for an enjoyable stay overall.
Very rude front end staff and front desk manager wouldn 't allow someone to have their birthday song sung to them and the way they treated the man was downright appalling! For $400+ a night you would think people wouldn 't be so miserable as to treat others badly! Shame on those two women!
Such a lovely place. Makes you feel your in a different time. Lovely garden. Great drinks at Badens bar.
It takes you back to another era... a lot of history on these grounds and enjoying all it has allows you to slow down and appreciate where we could go tomorrow. Definitely a stop if you're in the area or even a day trip of your not.Walkability: Walking the grounds is a must...Noteworthy details: First, the dome is amazing... don't miss the historic train shuttle that can take you to the French Lick Casino, or just a leisurely trip through the grounds
Met my college roommate for a day in French Lick. This place is enchanting and magical! We just visited, did not stay in hotel.
Such a great weekend getaway, and the hotel was fabulous. The service at Sinclair's restaurant was a bit off, but overall it was a great time.
