The fried fish is delicious. The seafood broth Tlalpeño is delectable. The tacos had too much extra oil on the tortillas, but were topped with cilantro and jalapenos for a spicy kick. The ceviche looked appetizing, but lacked flavor and citrus. The margaritas are reasonably priced and tasty. The shrimp cocktail needed more tomato sauce, and the clamato was too diluted. The shrimp and fish dishes were excellent. The tortillas were fresh and flavorful. The Tabasqueño fish dish was particularly outstanding. The lemonade was refreshing. The service was attentive. Please note that the chef may not always be willing to make changes to the menu, even if offered additional payment.
I had a good meal, but the waitress seemed new and a little slow. It took a while for her to bring sugar for my tea.
We went to dinner on Friday night and were seated immediately, but waited about 10 minutes before a server came to our table. She mentioned they were short-staffed in the kitchen. We placed our food order when she brought our drinks. Unfortunately, my son's tacos had beans even though he requested them without. They fixed the order, but he also received lemonade instead of sweet tea. My daughter ordered a cucumber margarita, but was told the machine was broken and they couldn't make it. Despite these issues, the food was tasty and our server did her best. I may return and give them more stars. They do offer a children's menu. Just a heads up, the menu is only in Spanish and our server only spoke Spanish, which could be a challenge for non-Spanish speakers. I had to translate for my family so they could understand the menu.
Sarandeado fish was awesome! Had the avocado salad, Fresh flavor. FRESH SNAPPER!
Unfortunately can not give a review on food, however, 1 star for service and forgetting to put in our order. We sat patiently until finally we got our servers attention, she spoke Spanish so possibly a language barrier but still no excuse as we gave her our order in Spanish as well. Service was non existent as she forgot we were there in an almost empty restaurant. Will not go again, first impressions are key and this was not that.
