What User doesn't like about Wenzelstube:
Seit Frühjahr 2016 nach aufwändigem Umbau der Gaststätte und der ineinander verbauten Häuser gibt es die "Wenzelstube" nicht mehr. Statt dessen ist hier jetzt ein Flammkuchenhaus, das 42 Variationen von Flammkuchen in einem modernen Ambiente anbietet, mit Freiterrasse. View all feedback.
Very delicious, freshly prepared food, nice operation, all clean. Especially recommended is the Cordon bleu... to lower!
Today, despite the bad reviews, we were getting into the Wencestube. The food was really delicious and freshly prepared and we were very happy despite the somewhat longer waiting period. The service was friendly and tried. We like to come back.
We were looking for a lunch on Sunday at about 14:00, unfortunately we only found this pub which offered a lunch table! So, unfortunately, nothing left us! We ordered cheese and Cordon bleu. In the outdoor area were strangely occupied some tables (all Touris) inside it was empty! When after half an hour we asked how long our food lasts, said the friendly young man first comes the table, then the other and then since her turn!?????????????????? We wanted to pick up the food, because we had to wait an hour. But unfortunately this was no longer so he quickly brought us the supplemental salad without dressing and with hair! The other guests would also be restless and asked if they were to turn their bratwürste themselves? I was wondering if I should pay with a pan, because they seem to have only one! First came the vegetarian court when I was almost finished came the other court and that was raw, real raw! After an hour????? We paid 10 Euro for our terrible dinner and went! Not recommended!!!!
As a pub, the Wenceslas Stube is certainly totally nice: smoker room, dark cumbersome original cosiness and a loose family staff. Cooking should be prohibited. Sorry. Whether hunting carvings, gypsy carvings or schnitzel Wiener Art, all three were the same, finished panned things, with a sauce with canned vegetables. Also the late zle, fresh from the pack, all completely sweet without garnish on plates from Uromas showcase. A look into the kitchen and you knew the toilets look. Pfui! The most expensive dish on the map pork medallions cost over 12 euros, meat was ok, sauce just the same as with hunter art. The main vegetarian gherout: I would have been interested in green seedlings, but unfortunately, was out. There was never the question whether it was right. The beer and wine selection was very good. Otherwise everything is saved here(! Sad. I'm coming back!
The Wenzelstube is a little hidden in the center of Wertheim but it is worth looking for it. Schaufle (Schweineschulter) with supplements or the Schweinshaxe, the Frankenteller, all beautifully presented and tasty prepared to enjoy in a quiet, well maintained ambience. My restaurant in Wertheim.
