Contribute FeedbackAt Joseph's, guests encounter a blend of charm and culinary potential that varies widely. The welcoming atmosphere, adorned with beautiful interiors, sets the stage for a delightful experience. While the high tea and tasting menus impress with their variety and taste, some diners express disappointment with inconsistent service and occasional lapses in food quality. Staff attentiveness is often praised, yet disorganization in serving can lead to frustrating delays. Though the fresh flavors and intriguing dishes show promise, many hope for improvements in food creativity and menu diversity to match the enchanting environment. Overall, the experience remains a mixed yet captivating journey.
We were there for our 1 year high-time day. it was our 2nd time that we went there years ago when we first started. what a disappointment. the elderton command shiraz ordered in 2013. the waiting person brought a year 2017 and tried to tell us that it was the same. it took long b4 they came back for us to order another wein. the father who was ordered for the escape looked like a terrine. we ordered the steak, they wait, the people told me they were all cooked too medium. I was rare and I couldn't eat it. when we wanted to pay the bill, it was $660. they would sue us twice for the wee of 2013 we never got, instead of the 94 dollar bottle we got. it took 3 or 4 times, the bill b4 we agreed the price. I have to say our food drinks were good. I had a spiced ingwer marguerite who was nice. we will not be back
Amazing eating! the wagyu shall die! the employees are all amazing, even though they are under servants. thanks!
Had hightea here at $85 per person, let's talk about the restaurant first, our setting was 3pm there were dirty tablecloths on the floor of the last setting, dirty teppich from the last setting, and bad spinnwebs and dirty windows, the hightea it itself is not worth it at all,Nothing is gourmet, I honestly think they have food from coles or aldi bought
Came here for a high tea last weekend. We enjoyed our afternoon, ate everything on the tier and stayed almost the entire 2 hour sitting. The only downside was every time you wanted a tea you had to call a waitress over. I’m not sure why they couldn’t just leave the teapot on our table considering there was 5 of us, we were constantly calling someone over to re-fill our cups….
Stayed at the Werribee Mansion late last year for a nice getaway, opted to have dinner at Joseph’s as it was onsite and seemed nice.We opted to have the tasting menu which we thought was going to be nice due to most tasting menu’s being the best of what the chef can compile, it was actually subpar. The food looked nice but in reality it really lacked flavour or any wow factor at all, the seasoning was barely there, most the plates were small and left us hungry to the point where we got room service right after our dinner. The quality of the produce is great though and the food was cooked well but they just didn’t seem to gel as a whole, the lamb was good but still lacked flavour, the dessert was probably the best part out of the whole meal. The service was really average, we had 3 different waiters/ waitresses, 2 weren’t very good but 1 was really good. From the get go our first plate came out and my partner finished first and her plate was taken away, I finished my plate a few minutes after her and my plate was still on the table when they bought out our next plate which came under 5 minutes after I finished, i timed next 2 plates that came out as I thought that was really quick, one came out 3 minutes after we had finished and the next came out 10 minutes and it progressively got better, so within the first half an hour we had already finished over half of our plates which made it feel awfully rushed.4/10 for me.
