It was an experience. We had to take time for four hours, but it was quite varied, because every gear was presented very excitingly. What you need to know: the concept depends on menus, you cannot choose a la carte as you have to go through. It's worth it anyway. The wine tasting is also great and is presented by the expert Sommelier eloquent. View all feedback.
What Emine Kretschmer doesn't like about Restaurant Schote:
waiting times completely unacceptable, eating in the quality of the courses very fluctuating, service bad!price-performance ratio is not true at all, drinks were not calculated correctly.Summa summarum saves them away! View all feedback.
We thought eating was nice, but it was more visually speaking than it actually ended tasting. the vegetarian menu was, to our disappointment, a kopie on the meat and fish menu, but without these connections, so it obviously lacked the main ingredients in some curses. if it had been half the price, we would still consider it to be steep. the service was attentive, the sommelier was short. However, the atmosphere was great and surpassed the average Michael Star restaurant.
It was terrible. above all the prices: the minimum four cursor costs them 120 euro, plus wein as a guide, another 75 euro. this is three times more expensive than a restaurant in paris with two Michelin stars. now on quality. the chef was...apparently explained that the portions of the gourmet restaurant should be small. unfortunately they didn't tell him that they should be additionally delicious. each of these dishes should be a small celebration of taste. it should be pleasantly surprised, unexpected and extremely tasty. unfortunately this is not the case in this restaurant. as an appetizer they already bring a standard sweetmakaron with pate, foie gras in jelly and something like that. Unfortunately, nothing of it is absolutely delicious. they also bring bark broth with dumplings in a glass. Unfortunately, the landfill sticks to the bottom of the glass, and they need to get it out with the hands. then they bring the crab on a strange wise, with something as a supplement, absolutely not suitable for him. Finally, a variation appears on the thema fish and chips. in this case, the fish is taken into the rubble, and it proves to be completely overdried. it is important that all the above-mentioned dishes from any ground are very salty. then they promised to bring something traditional for German kartomas with meat. but I couldn't stand it and interrupted this set. it should be noted that this happened the first time in my life. I visited some gourmet restaurants, and never before I wanted to stop the set. as result: I strongly recommend that no one visits this restaurant. both the idea and the direction of eating in this restaurant are simply disgusting.
If you want to know why a star restaurant deserve such definition you have to try schote. Nice environment, fantastic food, exceptional service. The restaurant has a capacity of 40 seats we asked the waiter and allows romantic moments as well as an...unforgettable evening with friends. Food is a real experience. We enjoyed the carousel offer in 4 people and the experience was really amazing. Four courses menu 95 euro pro person wine included where every dish was presented in a wonderful way and taste cannot be described. Research and genius have composed an offering where small bites explode in your mouth leaving yourselves willing to have more. From the appetizer , to vegetables,to the main dish fish or meat , to the unforgettable dessert. Service deserve a special mention as well: We got the opportunity to talk with Florian , and the other waiters, and no question around food or wine got unanswered. Timing and presence was good. My husband got slightly annoyed mr Müller was not in. Well, mr. Müller , we hope to see u next time.
The service was good! Food was good! Wines were just ok! But it was nothing of excellence what you should expect by the price they charge 120€ per person! I have ate better food (quality and taste) in restaurants that charge 3/4 of...what I had to pay here. You can feel they are trying just not good enough! If I paid 80 100€ per person it would be justified. It's not innovative enough to be hip and not decent enough to be basically great! All over a disappointment!
The visit to Schote was something I had been wanting to do for years. The start was strong, though possibly a bit too strong: Within about 45 minutes we had 3 courses (and 3 different glasses of wine/champagne) and felt pretty rushed each time...the new wine came, we quickly downed the rest from the last wine. Things then slowed down, which was refreshing and gave us more time to enjoy what was on our plates and in our glasses: We odered a 5 course meal and also received 4 different plates of various extras from the kitchen. The chosen 5 courses were beautifully set up ad tasted very good. The true taste experiences, however, came more from the extras from the kitchen, items that I would probably have never ordered from a menu, but I am so glad I had them (creme brulee of goose liver impressed me the most (I don't ever eat liver) followed by a liver lollipop dipped in chocolate; the apple beignet was also amazing and a neat twist on regular beignets). The service was at the start wonderful (though a bit too fast) and then at the end the worst I have ever had. We waited over one hour after the last course and with empty water and wine glasses just to have the opportunity to order the check. And this was the time between 9:30 and 10:30 pm not exactly the most stressful time of the night. Several tables were already empty, so there is really no excuse for this level of service. We also still had an open bottle of water at this point, but were never asked if we would like more (they do not leave the water bottle on the table for you to pour yourself). And the fact that Nelson Müller himself came out several times to speak with different tables, take pictures with guests and in almost 5 hours never once came to our table (it's a really, really small restaurant) was also very insulting. In all, there is no doubt that true artists are putting these plates together in the kitchen, and it was at the start a nice dining experience. It's just a shame when you pay 130 euros per person and at the end of the night the service leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth.
