What a fantastic store! Such a great selection on product. I was sad when I moved away from a big city when I thought I would not have access to a oil and vinegar store. Imagine my delight when I found this little gem tucked inside Pybus! Not only is there so much to taste and try but the manager, Melanie, goes above and beyond to make sure each person is happy AND she definitely knows what pairs well with everything... The lady who helped me was incredibly kind and outgoing. I was looking at their wide selection of pasta and found a couple of amazing packages that were exactly what I was looking for (Z Pasta: Angel Hair was amazing! . Then, they showed me a couple of their favorite olive oils and vinegars. I got the vinegar infused with apricot and the Tuscan oil with sun dried tomatoes. While on vacation, I made some pasta sauce from scratch which I used some oil in, coupled with some asparagus and steak. I used the oil and vinegar to sauté the asparagus and it was the BEST FLAVOR I’ve had! It left a sweet glaze on the veggies and then I used that to cook the steak in. Everything turned out absolutely amazing. A huge thank you to the wonderful ladies working who helped me find exactly what I was looking for and some awesome supplemental ingredients that helped make our big family meal, homemade, that much more delicious! Absolutely recommend visiting if you’re in the area because the stuff is soooo good! 10/10. Would recommend.
Wow all the olive oil and balsamic you could imagine. Don't overlook the other super fun curated food items, from salts and pickles to truffles and hot sauce.
Stopped here in the summer of ‘19 (pre pandemic) and loved all the wonderful oils and vinegars. Just returned again this weekend and had the best customer service! Found two oils and two balsamic vinegars I couldn’t leave without. Just had them (Persian Lime olive oil and Pomegranate Quince white balsamic) on a homemade spinach/strawberry/almond/chicken salad. OMG! So good! Will be having this again and guess I’ll need to place an order to replenish soon!
I stopped at the D'Olivo Wenatchee chocolate vendor space first, drawn in by the sign warning about chocolate being on the right. Chocolate truffles? Oh yeah, I'll take a look. As I looked at the different truffles and chocolate goods available for purchase two items caught my eye. The first was a milk chocolate huckleberry truffle and the second was a milk chocolate almond bark with whole almonds. My dad loves huckleberry and my mom loves almonds in chocolate, so I was sold. It was Veterans Day and my uncle (who served as a United States Marine) wanted a peanut butter chocolate truffle. A dark chocolate sea salt truffle looks particularly good to me. My aunt didn't want anything, so I bought just these four items. Truly great that I could pay by weight, one truffle is the perfect serving size during the holiday season. To get the chocolate from the display cases, D'Olivo had taken a number of COVID-19 related precautions including providing disposable gloves and tongs to grab the pieces of chocolate with and put in one of the boxes they provided. After purchasing the four pieces of chocolate we perused the second D'Olivo vendor space and found a number of fun items including bread mixes and olive oil that I will keep in mind as gift ideas. My uncle and I ate our truffles the same day I bought them and each enjoyed our own truffle so much we chose not to share. Only my dad was thoughtful enough to share with my mom and I when I got the truffles home to them. For the dark chocolate sea salt truffle I had, the outer chocolate shell was smooth and decorated with a refined hand. The ganache in the center of the truffle was silky smooth and paired well with the salt on top of the truffle. I have hand made truffles at home and have an appreciation for the storage conditions necessary to keep the outer shell from tarnishing due to temperature variations. I stored the truffle and almond bark for my parents in one of the cooler rooms of my aunt and uncle's house overnight and then in the trunk of my car as I made my way home the next day (Thursday 12 November 2020) as I turned the heat on while driving. Both chocolate pieces made it back to Shoreline in pristine condition and my parents greatly enjoyed each of their items. I tried the milk chocolate huckleberry truffle and thought it was very good too.
We had a wonderful time sampling a fantastic selection of premium olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Bruce's enthusiasm and extensive knowledge about his products enhanced our experience, making it truly unforgettable.
