Feedback
Reviews praise Sakonis for friendly, attentive staff and clear vegan choices but report inconsistent food quality, occasional bland dishes and buffet items served cold.
The food is incredibly tasty I loved it so much reminded me of beloved taste you get from India's restaurant. The food was fresh and amazing and my family has the best time over there and the staff were great.
I’m really disappointed to write this, but Sakonis is not what it used to be. I went with my mum to the Wembley High Road branch and the experience was a letdown from start to finish. The menu has clearly changed, and not for the better. We ordered samosa chaat, and honestly, it was anything but samosa chaat. It was completely drowned in yoghurt and bottled sauces to the point where we had to search for the samosa. It was full of chickpeas (or something similar) and missing all of the other basics. no onion, no coriander, no pomegranate. We genuinely felt like a tin of chickpeas had just been poured into the dish. I ordered idli and sambar, which was equally disappointing. Sadly very bland, lacking seasoning, and it didn’t even taste like salt had been added. Just flat and tasteless. One chutney was provided which also lacked flavour This was our second time giving Sakonis another chance more recently, hoping it would improve. Unfortunately, it hasn’t, and we won’t be returning. Either the menu or the chef needs a revamp. A shame for a place that used to be reliable. To and on a positive The waiters are very good and hospitable. Wonderful service! The waitress who looked after our table was friendly, patient and helpful. They were considerate when we asked if they could turn down the background music a bit, because our toddler was asleep, and they did it straight away. The food was great, like home made. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £30–40 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Dietary restrictions: The whole buffet and menu are vegetarian. Wheelchair accessibility: The is a step to access the restaurant and I didn't see any ramps.
