Forbes Seafood - Wells Beach Station

I took my family to this restaurant over the weekend. We were looking for a quick and indulgent meal. After spending $113, we left feeling disappointed. The food was extremely overpriced. A simple fish and chips meal should not cost $20US in a greasy spoon diner. We felt that for the type of food we received, it should have been cheaper. This experience was not worth the high prices. We will not be returning. Additionally, we were not even provided with a detailed breakdown of our bill. It seems that the restaurant can get away with charging high prices due to its location.

Forbes was excellent for many years, but it has recently declined. While we understand the effects of inflation, the prices they are charging now are unjustifiably high. $6.50 for a small scoop of ice cream is ridiculous. It's disappointing to see this change.

Where is the sixth star. Or actually where is the 10th star. It is that good. After a bit of a drive, we got to Wells beach. We were hungry and saw this right on the beach. So we went there for breakfast. I had the breakfast burrito and my wife had the French toast. First of all, I'm 6'1 and 225 lb. I could not finish the burrito not for lack of Desire, but lack of stomach space it was absolutely delicious and although I was full I had to try the French toast which my wife could not finish. Everything is absolutely delicious. So we decided to go back there for lunch. My wife had the fried clam plate and I have the calamari played again, perfect it was fried perfectly and absolutely delicious. So to all you haters, I think you got to check yourself because this place is great

Web said they were open on 9/14/23; upon arriving sign in window stating Sorry Closed . Attempted again today, ordered, paid, seated only to be told that they were out of what I ordered. It was 3:30 in the afternoon!!!!! Can 't rate the food- two attempts and never got any.

My sisters and I were visiting the beach and decided to get some ice cream. Not impressed with the consistency, too melty right from the beginning. I also wasn 't impressed with their flavor options. I ended up ordering the Coffee flavor but wanted a Mocha flavor. Luckily the gal gave it to me with a cup, since it was already melting so much for Hard ice cream like the sign says. That said, we enjoyed sitting on the beach eating our ice cream cones. We felt like we were kids again. All of us got melted ice cream on our clothes and even the chairs we were sitting in, LOL!! Luckily with a stain stick the coffee ice cream stain came out of my white pants when I got home. I would probably still come here when I visit my sister in Wells. Might try the food next time, although there are some really bad reviews mixed in with the good ones. Sounds like it is sort of hit and miss!!
