Was Sei De'Art at Apache a mag?
Had lunch here today this is a lovely pl. had bang bang chicken salad which was full of flavour and was very filling for a salad but a couple pieces of chicken were dry. Had a lovely lychee non alcoholic drink. The team tried the WOAP burger which looked amazing. Will back as the menu has too many delicious options to try. View all feedback.
What Mollie Friesen dislikes about Apache:
The best way I can describe this place is overrated. I don't think the food is bad in any way, its flavors are just incredibly white washed which means that it turns Vietnamese flavors much more bland. I suppose I don't generally believe in Asian fusion food. I guess I understand the appeal it does exist in wellington after all. View all feedback.
The curry fish was delicious and had a flavor profile reminiscent of Thai cuisine. The popcorn chicken was not greasy at all; it seemed to be fried with a touch of soy sauce.
I keep coming back to this place—it’s one of my favorite spots. The flavors are clean, vibrant, and fresh, with excellent use of mint, ginger, garlic, and chili. I’ve never had a disappointing dish here. The atmosphere is casual and laid-back; it’s lively without feeling overwhelming. The staff are attentive and friendly. What’s not to love?
I had to choose between chicken and squid for lunch. The waitress suggested the chicken, stating that the squid came in a smaller portion and that the sauce for the chicken was outstanding. I decided to go with her recommendation, and I was not disappointed! The chicken was perfectly sized, and that sauce... they should bottle it up and sell it—I could eat ten bottles of it! The salad was fresh and had a lovely sweet-and-sour balance. The nuts added great texture as well. Next time, I will definitely try the Vietnamese coffee!
I would give this place a 6 if I could. Tonight we ordered: fried pork imperial rolls, pork belly, beef cheek bourguignon, and coconut rice.<br/ <br/ The rolls were packed full with pork mince and vegetables, it was well seasoned, the rice paper was thin and deep fried to a perfect level of crunchiness.<br/ <br/ Pork belly was very juicy, had a thin layer of fat (so it wasn't sickening, but just enough to accompany the leaner parts), and was accompanied with a refreshing tangy salad, apple bites, lychee, and a slab of crackling that soaked up the sauce nicely.<br/ <br/ Beef bourguignon was my favourite with the meat falling apart in your mouth but held together on the plate by the crunchy and chewy outer layer. The sauce was thick and aromatic and went well with the rice. Accompanied by creamy baby potatoes and crunchy green beans.
Wow! where do we start? Took three office staff here for a 'business ' lunch over two hours. We selected a range of options for the table, and shared around. The food was amazing, couldnt fault any of it. We loved it so much we kept on ordering more, and could hardly walk properly on our departure. Attentive and humorous staff too. Keep up the good work. We 'll be back
