Today I drove up to take a look at the menu because we have a large group who wanted to eat here after a soccer tournament. The man working ' Grumpy Grampa ' was extremely rude to me. I rolled down my window to ask what time they close and he said ' we are open now and you see those white lines over there? They are parking spots. 'My jaw dropped to the floor. I tried to explain that I just wanted to take a look at the menu and wasn 't staying but he rudely cut me off to say that I was going to run over his customers. This food truck should be called Grumpy Grampa 's... unless Gramma is even worse!!They lost big sale today and we won 't ever try this place.
Brought my order home today, fries were very under cooked white, soft and raw, basically blanched... Was able to refry one portion but had to throw out the second as it was poutine . The menu says double fried ours were hardly fried once. Total disappointment. Will not be returning.Update Decided to give this food truck a try again after 3 years, only because Mister Chips is not open on Sundays. So upset that I did. The food is such poor quality, burgers were way overcooked, and I think there is bacon in the patty which completely throws the beef flavour off, and the fry oil was old. I can taste it and it left me with an upset stomach all night right through the morning. On the service side, they are so unwelcoming and talk about customers in front of customers.
Great food. I really enjoy their donairs. Their hours of operation is hit and miss though. Always call before traveling there. Unfortunately I have been duped many times.
This place is absolutely my favorite place when it comes time for my lunch. Their food selection is amazing. Their service is alway pleasant, and the quality of food you order never disappoints! Portions and prices are excellent. My absolute 2 favorite things to order are the chicken club wrap and the amazing newfie poutine. I'm looking forward to my next lunch visit!
This was our first time eating here and we will be regulars. We had eaten some sushi earlier so we shared a deep fried Big Mack with fries. The fries were great and the Big Mack was delicious, far better than any Big Mac I've ever had(probably only had 3). Big portions, good prices and friendly service. I can't wait to try a donair(I've eaten many late night drunken donairs in Halifax).
