We had booked our table in the first pass. The dishes and the service were excellent, the ambience was very suitable. The only negative surprise then waited at the parking lot when devalued the parking ticket for us and that although we were paying guests of the restaurant, a parking fee of 6, € was due for 2 hours. We arrived at 5 pm (1 hour before our reservation) and although some tables were occupied by guests in the restaurant, we said we had to wait until 6 pm. On my demand that this is really serious, the staff was patty and unfriendly. We immediately lifted our table and started our journey to Hamburg. It seems to me that both are pretty bad as being quite persecuted.
First-class food and first-class service. 5 stars are definitely deserved. Thanks for the nice evening.
As part of our two-day stay at Weissenhaus we have a dinner (originally planned were two) and an afternoon visit (coffee and cake) in the boathouse. The impression that we complained about after dinner on the first evening of the stay was reconfirmed by the afternoon visit on the second day: the boat house is a wonderfully situated, modern maritime restaurant with friendly, attentive service and pleasant flair. What leads us to an assessment of only three stars is the fact that both the otherwise outstanding and first-class overall impression of Weissenhaus (e.g. staff, suite, breakfast offer), as well as the map and pricing of the boathouse are based on an impression and anticipation that, above all, does not fully meet the food and the ambience (cold light, to loud music). It lacks the absolute wow effect. Our tip: Instead of using the boathouse, the room service on Weissenhaus is, in our experience, like everything else on the plant, a smooth 10/10.
