We tried to reserve a table by phone... read more The food is good – if you can even get a table. But that's nearly impossible, and the service seems to be the main culprit. We tried to reserve a table by phone several times. No one answered. Every single time. No callback, no apology, nothing. First situation: We arrived at 5:30 p.m. to an empty restaurant. Despite this, we were turned away with the explanation that everything was reserved. There was absolutely no sign of this. This decision came directly from the young, blonde waitress who was working that evening. Second situation: Again, no one answered the phone. So we tried again without a reservation and arrived at 7:30 p.m., even though the restaurant is officially open until 9:00 p.m. The same waitress answered again – and this time we were told the kitchen was already closed. Two hours before closing time. Honestly, this doesn't seem like bad luck, but rather deliberate. It's striking that all these situations occur exclusively when this particular waitress is on duty. The impression is that the decision of whether or not guests are served is made arbitrarily. Friendliness, a sense of service, or any interest in the guests is nowhere to be seen. You don't just feel unwelcome—you feel actively pushed aside. Perhaps the owner should seriously consider whether this kind of service isn't severely damaging the restaurant. Because good food is utterly useless if the staff apparently decides who gets to eat and who doesn't. In short: Good food—disastrous service. Until this changes, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
