The coc... read more Our experience at the bar of the Leonardo Hotel in Weimar, specifically the bar of the Restaurant Esplanade, was generally solid with a few minor flaws. The cocktails were expertly mixed, thanks to the dedicated bartender who told us he's pursuing a mixology degree. The bar itself offers a pleasant ambiance, though this was somewhat marred by the menu. It consisted of loose A4 sheets on a clipboard and was therefore rather unappealing. Furthermore, the cocktail selection, with only four options, was far too limited for a bar of this size, despite the extensive range of spirits available. The quality of the cocktails themselves, however, was excellent. Overall, our visit to the bar earned a 4 out of 5, with significant room for improvement, particularly with better menu presentation and a wider selection of drinks. We wish the talented bartender every success on his journey to becoming a mixologist.

Highly recommended, good quality, and above all, consistently friendly staff. Our baby was with us, and mashed potatoes were provided upon request; everything else was no problem at all for the staff. A changing table in the restroom area, accessible to both genders, would be a welcome improvement.
