Snooze - Webster
Snooze
Description
Snooze in Webster, Texas, USA, is a fantastic restaurant that has been a favorite of mine since they had only one location in LoDo. The staff at Snooze is excellent at accommodating vegans and their food is always fresh. Plus, their cocktails are delicious!.

Snooze offers a vibrant atmosphere and a varied menu, appealing to both traditional and vegan diners. While many dishes receive praise for freshness and creativity, some patrons found value lacking given the higher prices. Service experiences vary; while some guests commend attentive staff, others report glaring delays and communication issues, particularly during busy times. Dishes like the breakfast burrito and blueberry pancakes receive accolades, accentuated by unique drink options like the mmmmmosa. However, issues like cleanliness and efficiency suggest that, despite its popularity, there’s still potential for improvement at Snooze.
After placing my order with one of the many counter staff, I felt a drop of water land on my head. Looking up, I discovered that the air conditioning vent was dripping. I tried to shift over, but the dripping persisted on my shoulder and arm every few minutes, leaving a greasy, sticky residue on my arm (see the pictures for evidence). I would have moved, but there was a solo woman next to me who was settling her bill, so I decided to wait a bit longer. I informed the bartender about the issue, but they didn’t seem to care. My food took about 20-25 minutes to arrive, and to my surprise, it didn’t come with hash browns as I had expected (although the menu was clear, I simply overlooked that). I asked the bartender for hash browns, and he input the order into the system. After waiting another 10 minutes while eating slowly to pace for the hash browns, I inquired about their status. The bartender replied that the food comes out separately, and he had no control over it. This highlights a serious disconnect between the kitchen and the wait staff. In the end, after waiting an additional 20-25 minutes with my breakfast plate completely empty, I finally had to eat my potatoes solo. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. There’s definitely room for improvement in terms of management, cleanliness, and communication between the kitchen and staff.
The food was cold, service was horrible, and the staff and manager didn't care to check on you. I waited over an hour with my family in the hot patio and watched 4 separate tables that came after me got their food before me. Manager and the waiter didn't even bother coming by to give any updates or even refilling my water cup. Instead they give me excuses after excuses. When the food finally came, the assistance manager look at me and asked if I still want the food...... what kind of attitude was that? My 3 kids was starving and out in 92 degrees under the patio. Just think if you were in my shoes and how you would feel? I would not even recommend coming back to this location EVER!
The food is quite enjoyable, but it’s a bit expensive for what you get. I would describe it as a hipster version of Denny's. I believe the food is worth a higher price, and they make an effort to enhance the experience, like serving syrups and milk in ramekins. However, this means you don’t get much at a time, and you're often left waiting for the waitstaff to bring more. Additionally, there are the typical touches you find in these kinds of places, such as a rainbow flag on the door to signify that everyone is welcome. Honestly, I doubt that really alleviates anyone's concerns about ordering an egg here.
At Snooze, the food felt somewhat average considering the price we paid for our family of five. The atmosphere was unique, particularly the seating arrangements. The meal reminded me of something I could easily prepare at home. Be sure not to miss the potatoes—they seemed to accompany nearly every dish on the menu. The plates all looked very similar, lacking much creativity or variation. On the bright side, our server was attentive, kind-hearted, and down to earth, making great efforts to communicate with our Spanish-speaking family members.
I received the absolutely best service from Katelyn. She was super friendly and attentive even though they were pretty busy. I told her it was my first time here and she gave me. Delicious pancake to try! The crab cake Benny was perfect! Fresh crab meatand the perfect over easy egg with fresh cut avocado! Definitely worth the stop in!
