Prefered over Cora or Eggsmart...i dont leave still hungry as at Coras and i get real taters as opposed to deep fried sqaures at Eggsmart....also the servers are friendly and the manager is drop dead gorge.....all and all great value and atmosphere for this old boy...Parking: Strip mall plenty of spaces front and back View all feedback.
What Albi doesn't like about Sunset Grill:
Nice food, 7/10. However no acknowledgement as soon as you enter. It says “Please seat yourself” How about take out? Acknowledging customers as soon as they enter should be a rule here. View all feedback.

AMAZING food! Was so hungry I forgot to take pictures, but we had the avocado toast and the sunset poutine and both were absolutely DELICIOUS!! ? Service was good, just a little confusing who to ask or expect for what, but we were never forgotten ? Definite suggestion for somewhere to go for breakfast!Dietary restrictions: They were willing to accommodate dietary requests.
We had breakfast at this location today, July 26. We have eaten there before many times since it opened but boy has it gone downhill. There must be new franchise owners. I ordered the eggs Benny with crab cakes, all I could taste was filler no crab. The two pathetic asparagus spears were inedible. My husband ordered the Sunset sandwich which used to be served on nice thick toast. He got it on a hamburger bun, not a brioche bun as the server claimed. We asked to have it changed to toast but the bacon was so tough he couldn’t eat it.Our bill……wait for it was $47.00. What a ripoff!! People save yourself the expense and grief, go someplace else. The servers were not friendly, and all in all it was a terrible experience. We are done, never going back. It used to be a great place but it’s not anymore. Maybe the owner should go to Toast on Bloor and find out how to make decent hash browns, real crab cakes and a proper eggs Benny.
Gf and I wanted to go for breakfast after her early morning shift. It was a weekday when we went. We wanted to bring our dog for breakfast since he is family. Now we know the troubles of going out to eat with your canine friend and finding places to eat. Quick Google search showed they have a patio so we decided to go to this Dundas/Dixie location. We got there and noticed the tables werent set up outside. My gf spoke with the hostess and they were very kind to put out chairs for my gf and I so we could eat outside on a bright sunny Tuesday morning. That was a big positive already. Was told that the patio/outdoor dining is only on weekends yet they set it up for us.On to the food. I ordered the omelette, the meat lovers one, thinking I'm gonna get a small omelette since this is a chain. Well to my surprise, the omelette was massive! I think about 6 eggs went into it. And it was packed with soooo much meat! It sure was a meat lovers omelette. And it was delicious!Overall we really enjoyed our breakfast there and thank you to the staff for accommodating us with our dog and for the delicious breakfast!
This used to be my favourite breakfast chain. It's so disappointing that they joined the bandwagon of shrinking portion sizes. The amount of home fries I got was laughable compared to when they actually cared about customer satisfaction. They were also bland and basically just boiled and kissed lightly on the griddle. Pancakes were dense and tasted a little like raw flour. It was quick but that's probably why it sucked. Too bad, end of an era for me.
