Was Anonym at Galito's a mag?
very nice looking little place, nice signage but it is below road level so a little hard to see unless you know where it is, bright red facade on building and large sign. I went to the 20 dollar special with 2 sides. full roasted chicken, went for peri chicken and peri rice and peri potatos. the rice was nothing special in fact kind of bland but it was a good change from the Hot peri i had on the chicken, i should ha... What Anonym dislikes about Galito's:
First time we've eaten at a Galito's I had 1/4 chicken breast and a full corn. For normal eaters this would be sufficient, but for me it was toomuch. The chicken had a herb lemon dressing which was tasty and the corn was cooked well. My husband had the burger with fries, he felt it was over cooked and processed the fries were nothing more than adequateWe would only return for the chicken. View all feedback.

Fantastic Meal. The chicken was great. Peri-Peri fries were one of the best fries I've ever had in a restaurant. The veggies are great. The mild sauce for the chicken in plenty hot for me, and I usually like spice. Prices are fantastic. We got the Party Feast for 5 people, which rounds out to $11.20 per person, with lots of leftovers. The garlic bread looks kind of soggy, but is very good. Service is exemplary. We had left a water bottle in the restaurant, and the waiter came outside to the car and gave it to us. The only problem is that they made made a hot chicken instead of a lemon herb, but the error was caught before it was served. It was really more there problem them ours, with the delay being very slight, but the server still explained it to us. The restaurant was recently built, and looks very good. The bathrooms are outdated. All in all, this popular South African chain is the best in Mississauga for it's casual maket segment.
We have been frequenting Galito’s for a few years now and are never left disappointed. The chicken is always well seasoned and fresh. Galito’s offers a large variety of sauces to go with the chicken. The peri peri fries are a must try and the coleslaw perfectly compliments the rest of the meal. We often get the family meal which consists of 1 whole chicken, 2 large sides and 4 garlic bread sticks. This meal is generally enough to feed 4 people. The service at Galitos has always been attentive. I find their portion size is better than Nando’s and so are their prices. This place is a must try with family or friends!
Their lunch menu is priced at $10, offering four different options (which I have included in a picture below). I opted for the double leg combo with rice and fries—because who doesn't love carbs on carbs for just $10? The chicken legs were grilled to perfection, and I had the choice of mild or hot sauce (I chose mild since I'm not that adventurous). They generously coat the chicken in sauce without making the skin soggy, which I appreciated. Plus, the chicken wasn't greasy at all. Grilled chicken with hot sauce and no greasiness? Yes, please! The fries and rice were tasty, but honestly, it wouldn’t have mattered if they weren’t, since the chicken was the star of the show. The tasty sides just enhanced an already great lunch. There are many Portuguese chicken spots around, and I love several of them. What stands out for me about Galito's is the quality of the chicken. Everything else was decent, but as long as the chicken is good, I'm satisfied.
