The food was delicious. My husband had the steak, ribs and mashed potatoes and I had the Fish and chips. The food portions were large, the mashed potatoes and gravy tasted homemade, the fish had a nice thick, crunchy batter served with sides of coleslaw and Caesar salad. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food. We were very pleased and look forward to dining there again.
Found ourselves at this restaurant by chance since it was the only establishment we could see on the horizon/ that a reasonable walking distance from our hotel room. Ended up leaving glad we came here. Bartender gave us amazing service. Reasonable prices, and a cozy nostalgic atmosphere.
Tried to order for take out. Have done it twice in past. The woman who answered the phone rudely told us you can't place a take out order and just hung up. Called back only to be disconnected. Ordered elsewhere.
The food tastes great and the service was also amazing! Fast and friendly!! Whatever you needed they were there for you!! Thank you soo much!!
1. The owner/hostess was quite rude—a large, impatient woman who seemed unsuited for the hospitality industry. On the plus side, the other staff members were friendly. 2. The steak, while 12 oz, was quite stringy and not the quality of AAA meat. 3. The mashed potatoes were just that—mashed without any butter or milk, resulting in a lumpy texture. 4. The salad consisted of only a few lettuce leaves. 5. I ordered onions and gravy as extras for about $2, but the gravy tasted like it came from a tin and the onions were lacking in flavor. Overall, it's not terrible, but for the price of a steak meal at a restaurant, you certainly get what you’re paying for.
