my wife and I visited this pub today, Sunday april and both ordered the beef. we found the bark to be hard and strict. we were asked if everything was in order and guess that the meat was very hard. the lady, we offered ourselves steak knives that we accepted. even then it was hard to cut. at a nearby table had a father with young great difficulties to cut her flesh and his own. Turned up on the off chance for lunch, unfortunately fully booked, we decided to have a drink but then we were approached to tell us if we wanted sandwiches and chips they could, absolutely marvellous food and service cannot recommend enough Nick Kent
Once again had lunch here. Good varied menu reasonably priced. Nice selection of beers and good service from the staff. Will certainly go back there again and recommend it to others. On summer dasys has a very nice garden to sit in.
Country pub on the edge of the village green where you always get a genuine friendly welcome. We were there for Mothering Sunday and the place was decked with flowers with imaginative sprays on each table as well,as large arrangements on the bar. The menu...was the usual Sunday one, three roasts plus three others. The sensibly small choice was echoed for the starters and the puds so everything is made on the premises; no Brake Bros. here! Food tasted good and was served fairly quickly with the vegetables in particular having the texture of being freshly cooked and not pre-cooked and then warmed which always results in them being soggy. All in all, a very pleasant experience. We will be back.
We came at the last minute for Sunday lunch and although the pub was fully booked they accommodated us outside in the pretty covered patio. The food was absolutely delicious probably the best pub roasts I've had the potatoes were crispy, delicious meat...and veggie options, really fresh crunchy vegetables and the portions were very generous. The kids meals were also great generous and really fresh. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. Highly highly recommended!
