Sally's
Description
Nestled in Hailsham, this café offers a mix of delightful and disappointing dining experiences. While the ambiance is clean and inviting, patrons have noted inconsistencies in food quality and service. Once praised for its hearty breakfasts, recent visits reveal a decline, with complaints about portion sizes and cooking errors. However, some diners continue to savor the café's charm, enjoying flavorful meals amidst bustling activity. As the menu features enticing specials, the café maintains a loyal following despite the mixed reviews. Regulars remain hopeful for a return to the delightful dining that once defined this local gem.

Feedback
This restaurant used to be excellent, but the quality of the food has deteriorated rapidly. Now, we only stop by for a drink, if at all. It's a shame that this once great cafe is now terrible. What happened here?
The restaurant is clean and pleasant, but the medium breakfast I ordered seemed more like a small portion. The eggs were okay but very pale and greasy. There was no black pudding or tomatoes included. The tea was served in a tiny cup and saucer, with a separate cup of hot water, a tea bag, and milk on the side. Salt and pepper were provided in sachets. I would have preferred the eggs to be cooked on a hotter pan and the tea to be served in a larger cup, rather than such a small one.
Great food great service highly recommend good price for food and drinks staff always polite and friendly
Today, the cafe was bustling with activity on 20/03. It is a lively and friendly place that is also very clean. The breakfast I ordered was cooked to perfection and arrived promptly. The food was delicious and exactly what I was craving. While I selected my own breakfast items, the set breakfast options offer better value for money. Overall, the cafe serves typical good cafe food with some daily specials available.
Absolute ages since coming here and we entered for a bite as we were nearby. Not very busy, warm and clean Food came in good timeframe Wife had egg on toast with bubble and squeak which she found very enjoyable. I went for the breakfast and as I don't like eggs I asked if I could have chips instead, which wasn't a problem. Found it cooked nicely bacon just right and sausage plus baked beans. Two slices of brown bread and butter completed my meal. All good and prices quite acceptable
