The Roebuck Restaurant in Wych Cross presents a mixed bag of experiences for diners. While some describe the establishment as outdated, with cramped rooms and less-than-enthusiastic service, others appreciate its clean and comfortable accommodations. The food earns praise for quality, with typical pub fare offered promptly and at reasonable prices. Friendly staff, despite language barriers, enhance the overall experience. While the ambiance may feel stuck in the past for some, many enjoyed their meals, particularly the Sunday carvery. A visit could be worthwhile for those seeking decent food in a pleasant setting, albeit with expectations managed.

Was badmintontim at Roebuck a mag?
Great Food here and the staff work together so well and give great service. They have a great lunch menu at a good cost and the food is of good quality and would recommend that you eat here so give it a go Enjoy View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Roebuck:
Wanted to have a nice Sunday roast. From outside it looks great but as you walk in it’s super dirty, run down and stinks. Food is just edible. Service is non existent. View all feedback.

We had a very disappointing Mother's Day meal at this restaurant. We were seated in the bar area, where it was difficult to hear the piano entertainment. The furniture was old, dirty, and shabby, in need of a decor upgrade. The arm chairs were particularly dirty and in need of replacement. The starters were okay, but the main courses were lacking. The turkey dinner was decent, but the sprouts and carrots were not great. The sirloin of beef was severely undercooked and fatty. The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering us a discount on our bill after we switched our meals to pork and turkey. However, the cheap cutlery made it difficult to cut through the Yorkshire puddings and beef. It's a shame because the venue has potential, and it's surprising that Greene King allows it to continue in this condition.

An absolutely terrible restaurant. The staff were rude and unwelcoming. The food was awful - cold, undercooked, and inedible. One staff member was especially rude to my 14-year-old son, causing him distress. They also tried to overcharge us by adding items we didn't order to our bill and were argumentative when questioned. When I confronted the staff member who had insulted my son, he denied it ever happening. A truly dreadful establishment.

Came here for Xmas day, first time, staff made sure all our requirements were met prior to arrival. Tables laid out beautifully and staff extremely welcoming. Food came out and looked and tasted wonderful, great space between courses, never felt rushed. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and every course delicious. Will definitely be returning!

We have stayed here many times while visiting friends and exploring the surrounding beautiful countryside. Whilst the main rooms could do with an update, the bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The food and service are excellent and the staff are very pleasant.

I was working nearby and had a couple of evening meals at this venue. On both occasions, the main restaurant was closed and food was being served in the bar area only, which was perfectly pleasant. The food was typical pub grub, albeit of good quality. The staff were pleasant and friendly and food was quick to arrive.
