Lovely cozy cafè with a nice roaring fire, we had latte’s, cheese scones and blueberry lemon cake; it was all delicious. Once you’ve eaten there is a nice selection of gifts, homeware and clothing to look at and purchase! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Muffins Cafe:
The only thing that spoils this quaint little cafe is the staff, the lady that served us made my partner and I feel so unwelcome! We almost felt like an inconvenience! A smile costs absolutely nothing! Maybe we were the 'wrong ' kind of clientele! It was a shame because the food was actually really nice, but we shall not be returning. View all feedback.
This adorable shop/cafe has a good range of very tasty lunch options and a good selection of soft and alcoholic drinks, very friendly staff and a lovely selection of goods to browse (and purchase) either before or after you dine, I’d highly recommend the Brie and bacon panini which has a very generous level of filling.
We stopped here around 11:30am on a Thursday, intending to have coffee and a cake. Most of the tables were already booked for lunch. In the end, we were so taken with the place, we stopped for coffee and lunch. Absolutely excellent food. Would certainly recommend to anyone.
Muffins is a well kept local secret! What a super place for lunch with friends. I have eaten here many times and it has never disappointed. It is advisable to book a table for lunch as it gets very busy. The choice of things to eat are more or less on a theme of sandwiches, paninis, soup or quiche and salad and deep fried brie. There are lots of cakes to choose from and many different kinds of drinks to choose from too. Apart from the food, this village cafe has a wonderful gift shop with cards, candles, reed diffusers and jewellery. There are also clothes, scarves and other items for sale, all at very reasonable prices. Especially good at Christmas time. The staff are attentive and friendly too. A lovely experience!
What a popular venue! And such a nice relaxed atmosphere in this pretty little cafe and gift/ladies wear shop in the village. The two lovely ladies who run it are very efficient and food came to us quickly after ordering (Kitchen is open to the restaurant and looks immaculate). Simple but tasty menu and lovely cakes! Very popular with ‘ladies who lunch’ as it’s such a nice straightforward place to meet with friends. It is licenced if you want a glass of wine but their other beverages are plentiful. Nice.
Visited muffins before starting to walk a section of Weald Way. The tables were clean. We were served quickly, tea and coffee good. The cake was mass produced. We felt it was overpriced. I think the owners would like to attract ladies who lunch , rather than walkers
