Birchwood Hall Southern Kitchen

For the first time in this wonderful restaurant and so glad that we chose it during the passage through Waynesville. The entire experience was exceptional from welcoming and sitting, the service of our waitress and the food itself. The food was so good and the portions so big, we wanted to take the remains home. Since we returned home from a 2-week holiday through several states (Charlotte), we asked for a small ice bag in our cooler to keep the food fresh. Our waitress gave the ice cream ready and took care of the food. Finally, the music was really good ( Contemporary Bluegrass) and the waitress told me it was Billy Strings on Pandora. So now I have a big Pandora channel to hear. My wife and I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Absolutely the most yummy dinner and cocktails! Pork belly and grits appetizer followed by the Duck Duo for dinner accompanied by the Appalachian Sour cocktail. I even bought a beautiful piece of art from a local artist there!

This place will go down as one of my all-time favorite places to eat. We were visiting from Florida and walked in because 3 ladies told us we had to and they weren't wrong. The service was phenomenal as we sat at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. We started with the Pork belly and grits. The pork belly was savory while the grits were creamy but thick at the same time. I got the duck for an entree and let me tell you, probably top 5 meals I've ever eaten. We finished off with the peach cobbler and homemade ice cream. Everything was extremely good and made with perfect, highly recommed this place.

We have eaten here twice and both times it just absolutely delicious! I got the chicken sandwich and dear hubby got a burger. He said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had and that is saying a lot because he is picky. This is a farm to table restaurant!

My husband and I stopped in Waynesville after a day trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway! We hadn’t eaten all day, so we went to the closest restaurant to where we parked and we were not disappointed! I had been craving a burger all week and I got the Birchwood burger and it was seriously the best burger I’ve ever had. I wasn’t even sure I would like it, but try to be adventurous every now and again. So glad I did! This burger had the most delicious tomato jam, house made pimento cheese, and pork belly. It was he perfect combination of flavors! My husband had the Birchwood chicken sandwich and said it was very tasty. It seems everyone here helps around the restaurant and we were well taken care of by many staff members. Would definitely recommend and will more than likely be back to try something else.
